Azif no one in half of your country knows the difference between Rugby & Rugby League. That shows how popular it is here in Australia. At least everyone knows what footy is here whether they like it or not

Azif my family lives in Melbourne & they thought the Origin was the Wallabies playing the All Blacks
You have no idea how much most of the country does not care either way.
At least you have PNG with Rugby League being their main sport.

The Lions winning the flag was big headlines in Brisbane. At least they know its footy, same as Sydney with the Swans.
Whereas if the Storm won the Premiership in Rugby League then most Melbourne, Adelaide, Perth, NT & Tasmanians would have no idea the difference if its Rugby or Rugby League. They would say well done Wallabies

I agree Fred. Some people would know the Melbourne Storm are Rugby League but most would not know the difference between each code.

All anyone in my office in Brisbane is talking about today is when the AFL draw comes out & how excited they are about it after the Lions won the flag this year. Are you sure no one cares about AFL in Brisbane Azif.

a sport in a town that can't outdraw Bluey on TV is the talk of the town
the only one in your office talking about the derps & misses draw & the wions ... is you
the rest of your workers are normal Qlders whos daddy & mummy didn't move there from Footsmond or Collingrey & they have zero interest in the bumbling clown show from Vicdopia
for them its
The Broncos
Dolphins
Cowboys or Titans
& nothing else

Its all about the footy draw in the office mate, oh & how bad the Broncos are & how creepy most of the team are.
They play Rugby League so no one is surprised with them being creepy.
Anyway everyone loves the mighty Lions & everyone also thinks the Broncos are bogan/creeps like most Australians think when they think of Rugby League!!

don't know about that - particularly in offices - maybe some dinosaur tradies - but even then - most people don't have this parochialism - they prefer one or the other but there isn't the hatred that we see here by Asif - I am sure it is there as a hangnail for some older ones - likely stemming from the RL V RU stuff that has historically existed - but the younger ones these days seem much more eclectic in the liking of sports.
I know for a fact that the King's Beach Tavern last year was full of people going for Brisbane - with about 10 Collingwood supporters - it was a good day my friends

its far worse then that , its ridiculed ... laughed at & mocked
Young boys at high schools who play it in NSW & QLD & the ACT are considered weird .... same as soccer ...its a sport for girls.
They aren't able to play RL so they choose a soft easy option .
No
its waaaayyyy worse then hate
