Yet they don't and you can continue crying that your sport don't.
Heaps and heaps of indigenous guys playing RUGBY LEAGUE aye, plenty more than fumbles and bumbles white boys sport.

I can't fukkin believe this shit. Goodes gets booed AFTER he stands up against racism and no AFL supporter has explained why. You included beaussieThe_Wookie wrote:Your a fucking bullshit artist Raider, not least since we KNOW that there are just as many aboriginal players in the AFL as there are in the NRL. Let's correct that .Beaussie wrote:Personally I've been disappointed with the reactions of many Australians across the media, Facebook, Twitter etc.
I think Waleed sums it up best on Offsiders program.

Disappointed with the reactions of many AFL fans .
Racist homophobic southern hicks .
Time to move out of the 1950s .
Correct. Goodes whined about the opposition crowd booing him then proceeded to stir the opposition fans with a threatening performance. If he didnt want it to be a statement against his detractors he shouldnt have aimed it right at the Carlton fans!The_Wookie wrote:Goodes was getting booed well before his racism stand. He's a dirty player on the field noted for sliding tackles, pushing players in the back, staging for frees and a variety of other things we care more about than his racial characteristics.
He could have done this in any other direction and no one wouold have given a shit. Better he could have done this with any of the other 70 odd aboriginal players in the league over the weekend and even less people would have found it inapropriate because the symbol could and should have been about more than Adam Goodes.

A few things here.
Firstly can any of the AFL members claiming goodes was booed by crowds before the ape incident provide proof? All the evidence suggests this became an issue after goodes was racially vilified. In fact when I watched goodes play in melbs years ago, I think it may have been actually against Carlton (beaussie might recall) there was no booing of goodesy at all.
I can't speak for that poster, and I suspect Goodes is a great bloke in real life, but as someone who watches a lot of Swans games (because they were all that was on TV here before this year) Goodes can often come across as petulant on the field with his protesting for free kicks
Yep, just like other blokes such as Buddy is, Richo used to be. There are plenty of others too. Honestly not sure why Swans supporters care if he's liked or not by others - they have no choice but to respect his quality of play though.
Its not a matter of not liking him its the crap that comes for different quarters ie sniper, dirty, petulant or whatever.
The thing that is dumb about the Goodes hate on BigFooty and to a lesser extent the media, is that people have these huge double standards. We just got done having a week long Dustin Fletcher love-fest a couple of weeks a go. Obviously he's a legend of the game but he's got a record twice as long as Goodes. Fletcher's been cited for tripping like five times now. But when he does anything it's just wily old time
I don't like him at all, but still have massive respect for him. Amazing player.
Pretty surprised this hasn't been covered by internet media at all. Didn't knew it until now. Very good and very durable player, also I dislike his onfield bodylanguage at times...
I think he's pretty dirty and complains more than any player in the AFL over the past 5 years, but I respect his talent.
He is definitely not a 100% clean player though, and it's this perception that he is a saint that shits me. He gets in cheapies now and again - absolutely not to such an awful extent that i'd label him a sniper or anything like that, but enough to make me roll my eyes when someone tries to extoll his virtues and proposes him as the next pope or something.
Enough with the dirty/sniper crap. If it was a 'Do you like Adam Goodes thread?' then I'd leave it, but not a fan of milestone threads full of posts bagging the player.
I don't like the way he plays. He stages for free kicks, he gets looked after by the umpires, he can be a matchwinner but struggles when things aren't going his way. Didn't deserve two Brownlow medals, saves his best games for worse clubs (only 8 of his votes in his 2006 brownlow win came against top 8 teams, including BOG's against the teams that finished 7th and 8th), and only 6 of his 21 votes last year came against top 8 sides. He has been looked after by the tribunal several times, and the only reason he stands out is because he plays in a team that has very little other stars.
Great player, who in recent seasons has turned into a dirty sniper because he knows he is a protected species. Give me Adam Goodes of a couple of years, because then I could appreicate both his talent and sportmanship.
The sniping that has crept into his game lately is a worry - shows either he's unhappy or he's carrying too much injury-wise. I think it would be the latter. I reckon Roos needs to look at resting him, or try easing the workload.
Skill wise awesome, love the way he can turn a game in a matter of minutes but...He is the most selfish player in the AFL IMO.
A very good player who could be even better if he paid more attention to the ball and game rather than trying to dig elbows and knees into unsuspecting players. He is actually very lucky he hasn't spent more time out of the game suspeded IMO.
It also seems that these, for want of a better word, dirty tactics have only crept into his game in recent years. This could be a mental thing trying to compensate for not being able to dominate games as often as he used to.
Easily a top 10 player in the league when on song. He can stand up and win you a match. Can play just about anywhere and be effective. Hard to tag. Could get the dirtiness out of his game, but hey, if the AFL is constantly letting you get away with it, why the hell not?
He's been a very angry and dirty player in the past two seasons. Great player but didn't deserve two brownlows
Jesus Christ, you got any Kleenex to dry those eyes?The_Wookie wrote:Its not all crowds, its against teams where Goodes has been involved in passages of dirty play. Goodes hasnt done shit against Carlton. Booing him didnt start after his stand. Provide proof? Why should we? Its the story of crowds Ive personally seen, and we all know how you fucking hate anecdotes from people not in the league fraternity, so go fuck yourself.King-Eliagh wrote:Waleed ali has it right.

Long was vilified by Monkorst, true. Only true thing in this entire paragraph. the rest is flatout bullshit.Secondly Xman, Michael long was racially vilified by a player, not a crowd member. goodes has taken a stand against crowd racism and thus it is crowds reacting with booing. As ali says, they are actually booing their disdain at being challenged.
bullshit. see what you want, you're fucking wrong.Thirdly goodes has never been widely considered as a dirty player until very recently, I'd say after Eddie McGuire insinuated he should act as King Kong.
I guess we are. And you can fuck off for suggesting otherwise about people you lknow nothing about. You AFL fans are fukkin pathetic with the lengths you will go to suggest this booing isn't connected with racism.
You want to cross this line again? seriously fuck you KE.Very disrespectful stuff. Are you also booing goodes Xman? Are you cheering on Georgey pell as well?
