Hey folks I thought it was time to give you all some footy tips. Sorry its been awhile.

Ok, the mark.

Basically its called a mark but its really a catch. You have to raise your arms in the air, open your hands and then, as toddlers can do, you ....catch the ball.

Back in my playing days I was often renowned as a good marker of the ball. It kinda confused me, the acknowledgement I received, as to me this was something I'd been doing and doing well since before kindy. Yes when other players are also going for the ball this can make it a bit harder but really, alls you gots to do is

a) determine the flight of the ball and where it will land.
b)time your leap
c) catch the friggin ball

Anyway, I as all people like acknowledgment and so when I switched codes to marngrook and received such glowing praise game after game...I kinda liked it

Former AFL boss to be sentenced for child sex grooming

FORMER AFL regional manager Mark Heaney will be sentenced on Monday over the online grooming of a child.

The 43-year-old was in charge of the AFL's Northern NSW operations when he was arrested at Coffs Harbour in 2012.

He has pleaded guilty to one count of using a carriage service to groom a person under 16 years of age.
