If you think rl is popular because of participation figures in Melbourne then Australian Football must be extremely popular in the ACT, NT, NZ, NSW, Qld, RSA and PNG.

What - are you saying 1 million tune into RL for SOO or RL in general, eg NRL has 1 mil viewers each week? People tune in every year to the Super Bowl doesn't make Gridiron popular in Australia!
