here is a few quotes, that will help expain why regionals had to be included:

Brisbane was the most popular team with 22.91 million viewers followed by the Bulldogs with 21.80 million and South Sydney with 19.75 million.

Brisbane broncos were on FTA TV maybe 17 times last season. Does that sound about right. If they were on FTA TV 17 times and totaled almost 23 million viewers this means that they would have averaged 1.4 million viewers a game on metro only FTA TV (I think they were on FTA TV 17 times is that right?). That just cant be right. Therefore this total must be metro+ regionals + Foxtel games.

Collingwood was the most watched club with 24.26 million viewers followed by Hawthorn with 22.30 million and premier Sydney with 19.83 million.

Collingwood were on FTA TV maybe 14 times which would suggest that they averaged about 1.7 million on FTA metro only, if the data they used was metro only. Does that look about right to you KE?
