Hmmm.....no, Melbourne are definately NOT falling in love with RL!

The increase in ratings for SOO suggests they are, as is the fact not one of you AFL turkeys has been able to prove viewing numbers are not increasing in melb.

Any man with half a brain would know that increased viewing numbers over the past decade would indicate melbournians are starting to fall in love with the code, rather than not starting to fall in love with it. :)

I'm sorry but ratings in the teens prove that part of Melbourne have an interst in the event that is SOO, and any increase can be explained by the hilarious failure of NSW who are being dominated by qLD the smaller state #-o . But clearly Melbourne are totally indifferent to RL overall. Nothing you say will change that fact.

SOO can be anything it wants to be. It's SOO. The actual sport doesn't matter. It's an event, and you can't change that fact. [-X [-X [-X

Exactly, imagine athletics bragging about their olympic TV ratings. It's the event, not the sport.

Dumbass!

The AFL don't need an event for high attendances!

They have regular crowds over 70k all season.

You make Wayne World's look like an Oxford thesis, KE.

Clearly you don't understand the concept of an "event" and what it means in the realms of sport.

Sun TV #NRL 414k (Nine) + 7k (GEM) #Intrust Cup 24k (Bri) Sub TV: #NRLSOUNEW 215k

Look at those Gem ratings! 7k from 7.5m people!   Again the AFL would be up near 100k with foxtel.

So is it fair to say the AFL is 10 times more popular in NSW and QLD than NRL in Vci SA WA? :-k

Nah ah ah! [-X By your logic people arent there for the sport. They're there because its collingwood versus carlton, they're there for the "event"

Seriously it's like running rings around a pair of headless chooks with these two. They never knew where they were in the first place and only outsiders can understand how dumb those chooks really are.

Cruelty to animals, especially dumb ones is wrong, which is why I'll leave you too 'lone on this one now. :)

CLUB games they are there for the game, idiot! They are there every week! That's where the AFL kills the NRL!! The 70,000 plus crowds don't just go to Carlton/Collingwood. Heck, I was once in a crowd of 92,000 and Carlton weren't playing!!

Melbourne sports fans will hear "New South Wales v Queensland" and they'll say "so what?". The same applies to when they hear a game of "rugby league". But when someone says "State of Origin", that attracts interest!

Just admit that you don't know what you're talking about huh?

Except that it's a number of matches involving multiple teams not just one match

Plus each team has many members. How are they there for a single event?
