NRL crowd averages are artificially inflated by the Brisbane Broncos numbers. In Sydney, NRL crowds continue to be abysmal. Do you think that's because many like yourself KE are'nt passionate enough to attend an NRL game preferring the live experience of an AFL game? :?
wot rot
thats like saying the All Melbournes AFL crowds are inflated by Collingwood ...

the overall average for NRL crowds in Sydney will probably end up being a record in 2011.. near 17K
in a year or 2 it will meet on the way up .. the Swans average.. on the way down

30 years ago we averaged 25K! We haven't had a ******* average like yours since the ******* WAR!! 30 years ago both ******* comps were state based. Expansions leads to rises. But despite a ******* huge average for the Broncos you can't get your so called heartland to go to the ******* game! Sydney's going off the ******* boil!
30K actually
& in a year or 2... that will be the AFL average again
a full circle back to 1980 levels

meanwhile the NRL average will continue to rise

It seems Raider says Sydney crowds are fine and actually improving Beaussie. 17000 is well above what I recall just a few years ago.

And I tend to believe Raider above yourself with these figures Beassie as I recall a time when you and TLPG told me that Raider was wrong one time - I spent 20mins of my valuable time checking the numbers and he was right.

I wouldnt say I'm not passionate enough to go to a game, just been very busy this year. I've always only gone to one to three matches per year and I'm content with that. It doesnt mean I'm not passionate about the game at all. I watch several games every weekend on tv. I've only been to one AFL game so far this year also but because its not the best to watch on tv I only watch about one game each fortnight, and usually not the whole game.

I agree with you that being at the match is a good experience though.

What have I told you about listening to Raider. #-o

You're just as deluded as him and other throwball fans. FFS, it's common knowledge that NRL clubs regualarly fudge the crowd figures. They have no credibility when it comes to crowds. Take the blinkers off and take note of all the times NRL clubs have been busted fudging the crowd numbers. You're either stupid or have your head in the sand if you believe the crowd figures posted by the NRL.
Storm CEO claims crowd figures inflated
Stathi Paxinos
June 1, 2011

MELBOURNE Storm chief executive Ron Gauci has declared reported crowd figures are commonly inflated to make clubs look better

http://www.smh.com.au/rugby-league/leag ... z1O1LrDZw3
More than 16,000 showed up at Suns v Western Bulldogs (2.10pm kick-off) and only 12,997 at the Titans v Sharks (5.30pm kick-off) a figure that looked hugely inflated judging by the number of empty seats.

Souths' dodgy crowd figures
By Josh Massoud and James Phelps
The Daily Telegraph
June 26, 200812:00AM

SOUTH Sydney have conceded they include stadium workers, media, referees - and possibly players - when counting home crowds.

After monitoring each turnstile, The Daily Telegraph's clickers tracked 7522 people into the ground from the time gates opened at 4.45pm until midway through the first half.

The Rabbitohs later announced an official crowd of 9827.

The above is your typical NRL fan. Can't be arsed to get out and support their clubs. In this example, the so called passionate fans attended an AFL game in Sydney yet not one NRL game in Sydney. Hilarious isn't it. :(/

Fudging crowd figures will get you nowhere. No one (even NRL officials like the CEO of the Melbourne Storm) even believes the crowds posted by NRL clubs. How pathetic that your much talked about increase in crowds is a result of fudging the numbers. Pathetic and hilarious at the same time.
