I am not so sure if they were the best team in the first half of the year. Remember Penrith were undefeated till State of Origin started.

PENRITH were by far the best team in 2020 and lost to melbourne in GF

Panthers were the best team until mid year, than Storm were the best until FINALS>
you have to get better once Finals arrive, Strom did not.

Think you're way off mate with that finals assessment about the storm.they only played 2 finals games
They played the 1st final & absoluley blew Manly away .
18 points up after 23 mins .
Leading 30-6 ...6 mins into the second half .
Then cruised to an easy victory.
The GF qualifier they lost their best forward & Dummy half .
15 man bench. You are always up against it ..but when you lose those 2 you're in serious shit .
They played pretty ordinary after that & still Penrith just limped over the line to beat them .
I would bet if they had the full 17 all game they would have won ..even though they might not have played at their best.

yeah i didn't rate Manly,
manly could not beat the top 4 sides.
souths crushed them as well.

In saying Panthers attack was quite weak, they could not score through the entire finals series, and defended there way to victory..
