That crowd was bigger and will be bigger than nearly all nrlol games this season featuring Sydney teams this season

Didn't state of Origin get 91,000 plus in Melbourne. Wow, that is a bigger crowd than every single AFL game ever held in NSW & Qld.

Any major event will get a crowd. you could have a major league baseball game in Melbourne and get a crowd - or a game of Gridiron - hardly means it has a massive fan base. It is the week to week crowds that go that indicates how solid the fan base is I feel.

With GWS, any crowd is better then the crowd the team would have gotten 10 years ago --- meaning any crowd is better than no crowd - any presence is better than no presence - as it is such an important market. It is something that they need to nurture and grow. And if it takes 100 years to do so - better top have started now than never to have.

But hey 91,000 at a Rugby League match still dwarfs any AFL crowd in NSW or Qld.
