Agree with number 1 and you forgot playing in Canberra.
Agree 2. the whole falou and hunt thing was short sighted at best.
Re 3... think you've got this one a bit wrong. They have lost a lot of players ... but they planned on this and still have done very good 1st draft players ... plus Scully was also there from the start. Reading an article the other day they were comparing the suns and giants recruiting and saying how well the giants have done to retain so many from their first draft and also a heap of other young kids from subsequent drafts. And they are a formidable team no doubt.

GWS beaten by Peppa Pig
The whole GWS experiment has been an absolute shambles.
1. Their home ground is not even based in an area that could be considered greater western Sydney
2. Israel Folou came, was lauded by Kshoody and many other prominent AFL figures, and then took off with millions of AFL moolah for nuttin
3. The GWS experiment/notion of getting 22 odd 17-19 year olds who would one day form this amazing unit that would be a frightening prospect within five years has failed miserably. Most their starting squad are now players they've recruited from other places.
Go Peppa!
If GWS are a shambles how do you explain the nrlol clubs based out of western Sydney! Irrelevant minnows with only a few fans to show for their 60 plus years of pathetic existence!

three fold.
1. 23 million over 10 years.
2. Putting AFL games in Canberra regularly, with a team a little closer than Melbourne. Before they were getting a mix of teams going up there. Canberra isnt big enough to support a full size AFL team in the leagues mind, this is a compromise.
3. Canberra was also seen as being a security against failure as it were - Canberra has had reasonable australian football support for some time, and manuka gate reciepts, Canberra memberships and massive ACT government support offer critical funds to GWS.
yeah I always thought point 3
wow didn't know about point 1 (that's a lot of dough for 3 games a year over 10 years)
regarding Point 2 ( that is why the Raiders will never be much bigger than they are) The market is too small..

Been explained but I'll try once again
Any NRL team in WS is far more popular than the Giants
100s of 1000s watch on TV
Merchandise is everywhere
Crowds are about what they've always been
Memberships ....relatively new in RL are growing
Players are well known ....some are household names
Can you say the same for the Giants .
Lol .
Those WS RL teams have
