no doubt about it Cowboys and Broncos are the front runners in QLD
I would like to see another team in QLD for NRL (would really hurt the other codes, especially AFL)
LIC can you show proof the TITANS were $35 - $45 Million in DEBT lol
quite hard to believe..
another team in SE QLD wont happen any time soon! if it was so easy & League was so big there it would have happened years ago!
the issue of the titans has been discussed many times and keeps going over you tossball fans heads to here we go again
the shit tank of a club at one point in time was going to be shut down by asic

Jesus. Some of you AFL clowns are really reeking of fear and jealousy

I asked for frank and fearless !!!
I mean whining about leagues clubs for crying out loud
And then another cries "well what about dArwin. The AFL and the NRL don't have a team based in Darwin so in regards to this specific thread that's a mute point ya stoopid numskulls!
Anyway frank and fearless me AFL boys. Would the AFL be a better Comp without teams in brissie and Gold Coast? I mean they're just soooo shithouse, tv ratings are pissweak and things don't look like they'll be changing. You boys feel the same?

no because teams there makes you dweebs uneasy!
i mean look in Sydney! the Swans are easily the most supported team there & the GWS are rapidly growing in support!
a support base in 5 years what took some of the minnow NRLOL clubs 40 50 years to grow! in what is classed as in their own heart land

No
You are full of shit
A support base is more than crowds at games
It's buying merchandise
It's watching on TV
It's going to the leagues club .
If you think GWS is as big as any Rl club in Syd you are dumbe than I thought

And aren't the swans syd tv ratings pretty shithouse? Especially when you consider they've had almost 40 odd years in town as the only AFL club
So good try lic but I know you can do better me lad. Have u considered another argument why the AFL should continue with clubs in northern aus? Other than it makes us NRL fans "uneasy"
I know it's a tough one but Any other AFL fans able to make an argument that actually means something?

more people in QLD watched 1 game of SOO than Brisbane lions over 20 rounds in QLD
bahahahahaha
SOO yeah and where do all those fans go after SOO
the majority couldnt give a flying farrrk about anything league!
mid week piss ups, BBQs work places make a theme and a party of it! then zero care factor of league
proof
the NRLOL games go back to empty stadiums most teams average worse than the lions who can barely win a game! tv numbers drop off dramatically as well
alright lets reframe that than... 3 x Brisbane Bronco games out rate an entire Brisbane Lions Season

The current felicity that were at 5 - 6 years ago was causing the debt..
They were not actually in Debt by 35 million..
They Moved and have no debt now, it was too expensive.
Dubbed “The Taj Mahal” when it was built in 2009, the six-storey building housed the Titans’ headquarters, giving the club the most cutting-edge infrastructure in the NRL.
But the club’s $25m financial crisis two years ago forced the Coast to sell the building to Bond University - and now the landlord’s $600,000 rent bill has driven the Titans out.

The Brisbane WHOions. Starting getting decent followers in brissy early 2000s when they were a powerhouse...Now days, all their current followers would leave a few empty seats of one bus heading to the game.

the articles say they were! and you still deny it! FFS you guys are a stupid breed that live in denial!
the NRLOL has taken ownership of them & they are still loosing money & cannot find a buyer! along with them they have forced the NRLOL commission to take out a loan to pay the bills! something that they were knocked back for

you have nothing else but but TV deal! something that those two media barrons got you!
the 4800 odd boxes based around australia that represent 24 million people & not even a 1k in qkd that represent 4.7 million people.
how does a billion dollar tv deal go when it comes to the real world and getting a bank loan!
bank man says no
