For once I agree Para - but 18k at Alliance for last years premiers and 48k at ANZ both crowds IMO are less than what should be - Yet 136 watched AFL on TV which is more than usual - (aside from Nth Melb not being high drawing) I still think that the terror raids may well have effected both matches - tonight's match might be a clearer indication

These are the free tickets the AFL gave out all week to boost attendance. People with free tickets realise how boring it is to watch a team worth 10m up against a team worth 9m..................................total mismatch and not a sporting spectacle.

probably because a crowd over 50k for a single team in Sydney is near impossible. When was the last time an NRl club had over 50k v an interstate side, excluding GF?

there has only been 1 VFL crowd in Sydney in the last 8 years at ANZ
that wouldn't have easily fitted into the SCG
the prelim final of 2012 Swines V Collingthorn of 57K
last nights was the 2nd biggest in that time
even with all the cheating & rigging this code is officially
going nowhere in Sydney
& wait til the Swines have their COLA removed ..... fumblers will then see Fickle Sydney style
& that aint pretty

the fact the Swines have attracted crowds of 50, 60& 70K at ANZ ... albeit on the back of thousands of freebies
& even with those thousands of freebies still there today .... the fact they can't even get close anymore to those figures is proof definitive of the codes decline in popularity in the last 10 years
the staged manipulated success is still there

Dunno, but them roosters got 34k against Wigan (they are from Manchester in England) at the start of the year.
The roosters stink.
I have never ever seen any team that are the current champs playing winning football going all the way to the biggest games for two years straight and having their crowd average drop by a third or more.
That success is wasted on that moronic latte sipping bullshit club.
