Suarez is one customer, one example. But the culture of cheating in soccer, taking the dive, is endemic. It's nothing short of disgusting! I mean the msg it sends is: hey try cheating some time by acting like a 3yearold who's pissed his pants and can't deal with the fact. It happens in every single game and soccer fans accept it. Woeful stuff. The entire code is in need of a significant culture change.

The AFL is not far behind it actually. And, while streaks ahead of the AFL and soccer I also have concerns that since the biff has been more harshly penalised in the nrl, there's a real risk of the moral fibre of the code disintegrating in the same manner. SOO 2 was a good game marred by the niggle.

But let's stay on topic. Soccer, a code with mammoth cultural probs on the field. It's players act like three year old girls who've wet their bed and want to blame their brother for it. Woeful, with the AFL not far behind [-X
And I suppose Billy Slater getting his ear nearly bitten off or Hopoate's finger antics are acceptable KE - you sir are a hypocrite!

Oh well it's all personal opinion but I think they have cleaned it up a lot - it's not as bad as it was and for AFL it would be fairly insignificant but that's my opinion

yeah suarez probably should of went for his ear instead of the shoulder, probably tastes better too....or he should of fingered chiellini! atta boy! maybe go a bit further and get drunk after the game, hit a few women....or...maybe he should of placed a few bets on himself? but that didn't end too well for the last guy that did that...oh well if shit hits the fan he can always rely on stealing other player's boots and throw em into the crowd, some nice public service that

the options are endless!

where are the morals of the world when a filthy cheat like luis suarez can make $400,000 a week while honest hardworking aussies like blake ferguson and anthony cherrington are being given the cold shoulder!

i'll take my sokkah culture over rugby league any day of the week :)

Pretty funny that KE posted this thread considering all the unsavoury things that happened in NRL but have to admit there there is a hell of a lot of low level stuff in soccer. They call it "tackling" which is euphemism for kicking the hell out of the other guys legs.
One of the most dangerous sports arounds. Just how many go down in a game and how much time on. More stoppages than RU if that's possible. Seems nothing but in the wc.
It's criminal what FIFA has done like Qatar, and spending $billions on unwanted stadia plus the bullying of other codes.
If it wasn't a wc nobody would be watching the stuff.
