good one d head ............
yet rated less than 20k for many live games during the year. The Lions and Suns rated 50-100k in a city half the size and for 2 teams near the bottom
the Swines averaged about 50K d head in 2012.... & they were in the top 4 for most of the year
& they averaged the same last year ...... on the main channel 8-[
this .. after 30 years of prime time coverage

the Storm averaged 35K in their first year of continuous coverage this year

Storm >>>>> Swines
Wrong, as usual.

The swans averaged 59k despite being ad free on foxtel at the same time. This would add another 20-40k, so a total of around 90k.

The storm averaged 27k, and that was only due to a massive outlier. The majority of their ratings were 6-25k!

So the swans averaged over 3 times more!

Not much hey? :-k

Even the lowly lions rated 43k plus 20k for foxtel, for 63k. Double the storm in a city half the size, and for a team near bottom compared to premiers!

Correct me if I have wrong. The Swans have never really been on 7 mate before this year. As the year wore on they started to average well above 80K on FTA TV alone as well as being on fox with about 1 in 3 having fox in Sydney. Thats well above 100K in my opinion. You could put it down to the Swans playing well this year but you could also put some of it down to the Swans being on the one channel pretty much for the first time in a long time. In previous years they use to bounce from C10 to 1HD to C7 all the time. In some games they were only on 1HD and the ratings really dropped. Will be interesting next year to see how the go in the ratings I expect big ratings with many games rating over 100K on FTA only.

Haven't seen a similar ad in Sydney as yet. Hopefully a good sign for us Sydneysiders too. Can't believe how many viewers Channel 7 have lost due to putting the footy on their secondary channel 7mate. Still live footy is better than delayed no matter what channel it is on.

You are indeed correct. Last season was our first exclusive to 7mate. Ratings were excellent for a secondary channel.

And they will only be on the up with more casual fans realising the football has shifted to 7mate. No doubt Sydney Foxtel numbers would tune into the Swans matches in big numbers as well, pity Foxtel hides ratings for capital cities.

Unfortunately Dave quite a few of the C10 games were on in Sydney only on 1HD in 2011 (not a main channel btw). So your quote (your big text stuff) if that is really what it is, is incorrect and therefore worth about as much as all the other dribble that you write.

I wonder why Dave hasnt commented on how the Suns, lions and giants outrated the storm on FTA all year, despite being simulcast on foxtel, and in shit form all year?

You can only imagine how low the Storm's FTA ratings would be if they were in bad form and had their matches simulcast on Fox.

Currently the Storm's ratings are lower than the Swans despite the Swans matches being simulcast live in HD and ad free on Foxtel. I'd say the Swans would easily be over 50,000 viewers in front of the Storm every match.
