There is no need to break anything, if the Dragons can get Mark Gasnier back from french rah rah and give him $55,000 for the first year and then back end it, other teams should be able to do the same thing for players coming from other sports.

If Parra can't get him because of the cap, I know a few players they can let go of for a start to help fit him in.

As for the comment about being a hypocrite, well yeah, you may have a point if it was happening all the time for certain clubs year after year, but it isn't and if something does happen, Parramattas cap for the following year would be lower, how is that the same as the Vfl giving out millions to these non lol footy states'year after year after year after year?
Your spot on about Gasnier Parra, they signed him for 55k and was allowed to back end it why not Parra?

Schubert thinks Falou is worth 400k minimum, when he was worth that money when he left the game flying high. It should not matter what he is worth, if he wants to play for the Eels and take a salary cut for the first year so be it. The ARLC should not be allowed to stop a player from signing for less money and having the Deal back ended. The Dragons did it why not Parra, if the ARLC block this then Parra need to ask the question why its okay for other clubs and not us.

This Thread is another desperate attempt by some AFL fans on this site to try and take focus of how pathetic the AFL commission has become.....

Sorry guys Parra have not done anything wrong and are just asking questions of the ARLC in full view of the public, unlike the Crows who are trying every dirty tactic in the book to get a lighter sentence...after they have been busted.... [-X
the commision that has helped make the AFL the number one sport in australia? :-k

The Commission hasn't had a chance yet to concede/fuckup territory to the Vfl from our #1 code, wtf are you talking about?

Eels claimed the AFL commision was pathetic. Pretty funny when you look at the state of all the sports in Australia. The AFL lead by the length of the straight.

Well the AFL is the only football code to play premiership matches in every state and territory each year for starters...

Really, so we ignore 1.2 million while the vFL ignores 5+ million each year.

Thanks for clearing it up.

The AFL covers every state and territory in Australia, so that 5 million is complete BS. If it's NZ you're referring to, ANZAC Day next year, 7.30 pm at Westpac Stadium, New Zealand

I'm referring to the millions in regional areas that don't get to see any fumbleball games played anywhere near them every bloody year.

And millions don't.

1.2 million, is that less than 5 million?

Enough already. RL is dominant in the most populous and popular state and city in Australia...and i believe its popular in all the other states and territories, bar tasmania.
