He also tells us their comp is a level playing field yet their biggest club is essentially forced to take the centre stage of live FTA TV on FN at the expense of many many struggling poorer clubs.

Plus they've had a number of clubs involved in extensive salary cap cheating, denying other clubs of the GF.
the VFL crowds are plummeting ...20% down since 2010 .. & no sign of this abaiting.
broadcasters rate it .. less valuable then the NRL on TV .. hence them giving the NRL the same $$$ as the VFL despite the NRL being on TV for 33% less broadcast time then the VFL.
it has 2 sides that are cash vacume cleaners .. & another 4 not much better .... & another 3 that barely break even each year.
its standard is currently the lowest in living memory.
after 30 years .. still no one gives a stuff about it in NSW & QLD
its manipulated to the hilt ... in essence .. a dirty comp.
it has many many integrity issues .... that it won't address

its dying
its had its day .... &... good riddance to it.

you wish Dave. Record TV ratings, regular games played in every state, stadium upgrades in almost every state.....its all good news.

Meanwhile the NRL will limp along for the next 5 years because they know there isnt enough interest or money to expand beyond its limited borders.

there isnt any truth in this post, only LOLZ.

The funniest being the claim the NRL is worth more on TV because they get more per game!   Sell more games you dopey bastards! You'll get more games for your fans, better exposure, better sponsorship opportunities, and more money!

You keep saying this, and it doesn't make it true. The Swans have had the highest average attendance of any team in any football code in Sydney for 18 years in a row. When they were successful, the Lions drew more fans than the Broncos for 6 years. The Storm have never - despite all of their success - managed to outdraw even the worst AFL team in Melbourne. After 30 years, the Swans and the Lions have cemented themselves in their respective markets in a way that the Storm have been simply unable to.

Gallop was a dictator. Sometimes he did the right thing, but sometimes he did the wrong thing. That "terrorist" gaff was out of line. The Storm deserved what we got with the salary cap, but we didn't deserve the terrorist moniker and he never withdrew it!

The Stewart thing was inconsistent. The Tandy thing was maybe the best thing Gallop did.

Sometimes the best things are hated. Gallop wasn't perfect and no one is. But overall he did okay; for a dictator.
