Have to disagree. There is a lot of tackling in rl but most of it is off a short run and front on.
First defender usually blocks the attacker and two other defenders then tackle the player to the ground.
Because of the congested nature of AR these days there is a lot more tackling and a lot more effective tackling and occassionally we see some really good tackles when a player is run down from behind.

.

You've got to be @####ing joking , I've seen tougher defence in netball.
defense in RL is predictable. opposition players come from one direction only and only one at a time. look at k hunt and falou. Are they masters of defense in the AFL? Hardly. Its far harder to defend in ARs because of the freedom the ground size and rules allow.

Looks like I hit a nerve. I didn't really mean what I said I just was looking to draw a troll into a conversation. The fact is that RL is quite a skillful game same as AR but anyone such Dogs can look at AR and say all they do it kick and catch the ball that game looks easy. The same could be said said of RL like I just did. All they have to do is run into a man and put the ball under their foot. But anyone who seriously believes that the game is that simple has never really watched the game. The same as anyone who thinks AR is just kick and catch has never really watched the game.

the only thing one could predict about a stick insect VFL player being tackled by an NRL players is ..... he wouldn't get up

yep :-k

thats about it

   theyre too fat to catch anyone. AFL players dont simply run into tackles like in RL. K Hunt and izyy sure didnt do much damage.

or its harder than you think. Tackling is pretty easy when they run straight to you. Izzy cant even catch anyone.

I'd back most of our backs .. most in at 6.2... & 100kgs .. oh & able to run 100m in 11.5secs
to catch any skinny little lolly legged VFL player quite easily
we all know VFL players have the build of school girl basketballers

& when they got them
they'd snap them in 2

this is the simple reality

your game doesn't allow League style aggression in defence ..its soft & girly as I've said
you have to be careful not to upset an opponents blow waved hair do

otherwise the havoc they'd of unleashed would have been something to behold
its not that they couldn't get to the skinny little sheilas
its just they couldn't get used to going easy on them

no .. in essence the only true indicator of the anerobic ability ... strength & agility of the respective players in each code would have been

Rexonas greatest Athlete TV show

vicky kicky was shown up as the joke of a game it actually is
its contestants had

no co ordination
no strength
no speed
no agility

they couldn't even win their chosen event ... goal kicking  ............   :(/ :(/ :_<> :_<> :_<>

yes I know .... Slater is a freak
his god given athletic ability is a sight to behold .... just ask Gary Ablett Jr ..when he was invited to a Geelong Training session a few seasons back
we couldn't lay a finger on him .... Gary was reported to have said 8-[

I hear they had to cancel the show because the VFL refused to put anyone in after the first 3 years of embarrasments

but hey
if your code changes its mind ... we'll make sure Slater doesn't enter to make fools of your codes stars as he usually does

no

we'll go with............... Benny Barber
K?

The rexona challenge is a sample of single players from each code and includes sports like motor racing and jet ski racing. LOL

Izzy and K had every opportunity to show us how the tackling skills of RL are more advanced. Howd that go for ya?

Fail............

A sample of 1 is meaningless. Howd your last player go? Does that mean the entire NRL comp dropped in athletic ability in the last year or so?

Izzy and k have prove their lack of advanced tackling skill in every game they play.
