Hi pies can you show us where you got your 100 figure from here? You ask others to provide links etc and your reference seems to be 'so i hear'... Its just that the AFL seems to have a history of botching up their numbers and figures to make the sport look mammoth in NSW and I wouldnt want you to be following that trend.

In any case I'd imagine the bulk of the 100 you refer to are from south of the riverina or the ACT (which isnt NSW by the way, although the AFL believes it is) and a sprinkling from north QLD.

I didn't get the 100 figure from websites it is just what I have heard from posters on other websites. Let me look into the figure and while I am doing this for you perhaps you can get some names for me.

Exposure is everything and RL in SA, WA, VIC have all been pitch black until this year so really hard to try and make a comparison when the NRL has had 0 exposure through the networks and the AFL has had 30+ years of coverage into non AFL states.
Also add to that the Fact that NRL has no teams in WA, SA and 1 team in VIC then it becomes clear to why there is less players coming out of these states.

NRL is virtually a two state game or really an extended NSWRL.
AFL is deffinitely played in more states than the NRL and we spent a lot of time on the International board

But i am clearly highlighting the fact that NRL has more stars in more states around the world by a country mile. =D>

Its clear by your reactions this thread has not served its purpose and has actually backfired in showing NRL is watched by more people in more states around the World.
