In yesterdays paper it said the last sydney derby there was less than 2000 GWS fans at the game

Firstly, what source were they using for this estimate? Secondly, the GWS are the second expansion team in a foreign market, playing in their first season. Why would you think they would instantly have a decent following? The first team in a city will gain the following of supporters of that code. The second team will need to work much harder for supporters who will slowly come on board as they begin winning. Imagine if the NRL began a second team in Melbourne. Who would support them?

You dreaming...... i would say maybe 3k if there lucky. they got 7k for the hawks game at skoda and it has been said that half were hawks fans. Skoda is not in western Sydney, for all we know there was 1k from the north shore 1 k from the eastern suburbs 1 k from canberra and 3k from western sydney and 1k from melbourne = 7k for hawks game.
