An excellent commentary by Brereton. He is correct that RL clubs need to be more proactive, and I believe I've always said that.
Was thinking just that when I first read Dermie's comments.

How can anyone accuse the AFL of arrogance when they take such a measured approach to conquering the west. The real humor in all this is that these guys seem to be genuinely shocked that the people of the west have not embraced at first glance. They believe that the 55% of Aussies who live north of the Murray have been waiting around with nothing to do until the AFL showed up. Arrogance or delusion?

Then again everyone is entitled to one mistake but wait didn't we hear something similar 30 years ago when that other mob got the boot from South Melbourne.

Just when the ratings period ends along comes the AFL Comedy Channel. Now we know what the new dedicated AFL channel will be.

And you would be wrong, enarelle. Competition is heating up and RL will not be able to cope. It's the NRL who are arrogant in the belief that they will keep the supporters they have and not lose one. This could not be further from the truth.

The burp machine is always abusive, cos789. Fear makes that happen.
