The Titans and Suns had clashing matches three times this year with the AFL team winning the crowd figures battle each time.

Titans managing director Michael Searle said the club had asked the NRL to minimise the number of potential clashes.

Gotta feel for the corrupt Searle. Before the arrival of the Suns he used to boast about Titans crowds and the Gold Coast being rubgy league heartland. #-o

After just one season where he had to resort to fudging crowd numbers every game and still getting smashed by the AFL/Suns, he's now asking the NRL to avoid clashes with the Suns in the 2012 fixture. Add to that the fact that his club is on it's knees, financially busted owing creditors millions and talk of whoring the club to PNG. Hilarious isn't it. :<> :<> :<>

Boast about it... yes indeed when you consider the tough season the Suns had on-field. Smashed the local NRL team so much so that the Titans had to resort to fudging crowd numbers and now considering whoring themselves to PNG. Now of course the Titans are begging not to have clashes against the AFL in our new heartland. Says it all really.

What like we saw at Skilled Park this year for every Titans game where the crowd numbers were fudged and still came up short against the Suns.

he shows a shot from a Titans game an hour before kickoff
probably of the least attractive game the Titans played at home .... up against a Thuns game against Collington ... Carlwood .. someone #-o , in full flight with a section of crowd thats full ( as you point out , full of ex pat ******** ) ... probably the only section in the entire ground that is

unlike the moronic brainwashed mushrooms who follow flogball beaussie
we won't fall for the AFL's smoke n mirror BS games
NRL fans are far smarter
smoke.... n ..... mirrors

As usual, it's all lies with this mob, we'll see how well both their news teams are going next season.

Can't wait for the newest trainwreck.

Gees, reality is hard pill to swallow for you lot isn't it? Get used to seeing more of the following before the Titans pack up and follow in the footsteps of every Rugby League team ever attempted on the Gold Coast. PNG awaits I hear. :(/ :(/ :(/

don't hold your breath
the Titans can only improve onfield in 2012 , they'll challenge for the Finals I'd say
meanwhile
the Suns will be battling with GWS for the wooden spoon again in 2012

it wil be tumbleweed central at ol Metricon for many a year
warms the heart

GWS is going to be the highlight of the season next year, should provide plenty of giggles and laughs when they have 50 bums and bearsey in the crowd while being hammered by 200.

The Suns will improve on the back of the experienced men they recruited. Kevin Sheedy will attract the Sydney media with his infectious personality and that will help GWS. I wouldn't be surprised if one of the meaner NRL bogans tries to make a meal of Sheeds and get his face smeared with eggs without a punch thrown for being such a fool. The fact that the Titans are looking towards PNG shows that they know they are in trouble. Otherwise why even consider it?

when ......... 2016 , 2017
it'll be too late then , the only people at Thuns games then will be a handful ex pat ********
Kevin Sheedy will attract the Sydney media with his infectious personality and that will help GWS
Kelvin Shandy is a goose .... he will be set apon by the rabid Sydney Media when GWS are being flogged by 150 pts each n every week & return to Victardia with his tale between his legs
The fact that the Titans are looking towards PNG shows that they know they are in trouble. Otherwise why even consider it?
the Titans are considering a " new" investor & that is all
the PNG Govt want to buy into an NRL concern for a trial each year being played in Port Moresby , why wouldn't they consider that ?
A cashed up Titans team .. nice , a Thuns nightmare

They should be using money from the locals. Going outside Australia is a bad move. It's what killed Fitzroy. Kevin Sheedy can take whatever the Sydney media dishes out and turn it back on them. He is a master promoter that will make even the best NRL craftsman green with envy. I predict the Suns will make the finals in 2013, and in 2012 have a big say in who makes the finals.
