What is arrogant, is throwball fans thinking they have a right to grounds without making any contribution to the up keep and set up costs.

rate payers own the grounds ... their rates pay for the up keep & they have a right to access ALL public land .. parks gardens .. public sports fields for their use ... hell everyones use

100K does not buy you a ground ...
if the AFL want to buy this oval ... then let them & its theirs & they then have a right to lock it up

100K is bribe money ...
a deal done in a dark alley .... by arrogant scum

I think this is going to get some airways time in the coming weeks
& the AFL & GWS will not come out of this smelling very nice

Um you fail to recognise the AFL contributes to those costs lessening the burden on ratepayers. The NRL on the other hand never contributes, just expects ground access as a right. Like I said, arrogant and clearly councils have had enough.

but locking them out of the venue if they don't either play or watch AFL
did anyone ask the rate payers if they'd agree to this

ground access is a right ... if the NSW state govt weren't spending tens of millions building GWS a new stadium at the Sydney show ground .. right next door to ground more then suitable

then perhaps ovals across Sydney would get the funding they need

I would ban all nrl ferals from our AFL grounds in Sydney! And for extra security there should be watchtowers with machine guns mounted, as well as guard dogs and electric fencing to keep this nrl scum off our turf!

Stop your whinging and learn how to negotiate with governments. You lot are a rabble and it's abundantly clear to everyone. Why not follow the AFL's lead. You already copy everything else the AFL does.

the NRL & its clubs will actively campaign against councils who favour the AFL & take ovals that belong to everyone
they will get them thrown out

the AFL may have the dosh , what we have is the hearts n minds of the people
theres more then one way to skin a cat ...
