That is a real turn off, it really started around the sl war tbph.
Well TBPH I don't hate RL - go to Storm games (was going to go to Storm v Para but client couldn't go) listen to the Storm hour - just don't know about the arrogance statement Storm gets nothing but support from all sections of community down here in Melb - in Sydney nothing but scorn and abuse for all things AF. Maybe come to Melb Para find out life ain't so bad!
Ha, I'm talking about all the huffing and puffing for the last 20 years in NSW.
the story of the NRL of the past 50 years in NSW!

Well it is actually - becoming more competitive - crowds starting to rise - Swans have been in Sydney 30 years the AFL said this that it's a long term investment - why can't NRL types understand this concept - the AFL isn't like the NRL and kills off sides like - Adelaide Rams, Perth Reds, Gold Coast Chargers, Queensland Crushers, Hunter Mariners, Nrwtown, North Sydney, South Sydney (then been made to take them back). The AFL supports and try's to assist our clubs!!!

rising crowds

the swines averaged 37,000 just 8 years ago
& 28,000 as the defending premiers last year
the midgets are heading for their 3rd year of falling crowds

30 years & its still a work in progress :(/ :(/ :(/ :(/ :(/ :(/

how fucking long do you bumbling clowns need
how could a third of a century still not be long enough

after 33 seasons
the swines are still an embarrassment on TV in their home city
face it
this Victorian tripe will never be anything but a niche sport for ex pat dribblers in Sydney
no one else cared when they arrived in 1982
& today
nothing has changed

24k to 32k in 2 years. Isn't that growth? The only reason they had bigger averages in 2007 is because of one off super crowds against power Melbourne clubs.

Add to that they get around 90k when adding fox + a secondary FTA channel, which compares fairly well to the NRL which get 300-400k on FTA for average games. A ratio of 1:4-5 is pretty good in an expansion city I would have thought.

keep living by your tv ratings, dribble dick
the swans are easily the biggest football club in NSW :)))

mean while the storm,
the opposite can be said for the storm
even been world champions, won a number of premierships....
yet still struggle to get double digits in the ratings system
cant get half the crowds the swans get in a city in their respective cities
the storm are based in a city where teams average 50k plus across the road,

so you want to talk about failures the storm are utter duds, low fans, millions of debt, stuff all members
but that explains the story of every NRL club
