Why even go down the path of insinuating its polynesians who are "the problem" or "ruining the league"? Its simply not appropriate. And I doubt very much many in the polynesian community would think its a valid perspective.
OMFG! No one said that!
Theres a huge difference between saying a large proportion of foreign players will cause problems, and the problems in the NRL are caused by all the foreign players!
Really? Ok final lesson time.
The Aus Human Rights Commission
Racial discrimination involves any act where a person is treated unfairly or vilified based on their race, colour, descent, national or ethnic origin. Racism can occur systematically, as a result of policies, conditions and practices that affect a broad group of people"
Now you fools are clearly pointing the finger at the Polynesian RL playing community and at developing systems to reduce the percentage of this community in RL to make the game better. I'm saying that's quite simply racial discrimination. Now you can backpeddle, yell and scream all you like that I'm distorting your meaning, like the gumby AFL recruiter who made the call "unless they've got one white parent", but the fact of the matter is you dunderbrains brought up the percentage of polynesians in the NRL as an issue, as a problem.
The real issue we are looking at is age for weight in the juniors. By finger pointing at a race, which cos, pookus and Xman clearly have, your, and others reading, vision is narrowed. Last time I'll say it. Its not black and white and those polynesian players have made it on their own merit. Well done to em. =D>

Wrong
No one is pointing at the NRL and saying they need to limit players from particular ethnic groups. All I am pointing out is that the game is well suited to players from Polynesian ethnicity, and while this is a good thing for them it will cause issues for a competition that is based in Australia, with a predominantly caucasian population.
The less caucasian kids that can succeed or even compete in RL because they cannot match it with the size and strength of Polynesian players, the less will be following the game when they grow up. Why is this a problem? Because the population of Australia is still predominantly Caucasian and the code of RL needs these people to follow the game to be successful, especially in a competitive sports market like we see in Australia.

El, they did no such thing! Come on, you're making our side look $hit!
Here's the real reason why body size is a problem, and I think this goes for both codes. The natural difference in sizes of the kids coming up. Some will be better developed than others in a certain age group. There's a story I heard (AFL admittedly) that players don't hit their prime until their mid 20's. That takes even the Toyota Cup out of the equation. But it also means that the quick and nimble have the chance to catch up.

And your a shallow minded apologist who refuses to confront issues just because they are contentious. Noone has said a word against the poly guys just asking the question. Why does league have a disproportionate amount of one race,Aussie rules is the same predominantly white why because it reflects the population in a proportionate sense. Now why are there so many polynesian guys playing your game.Have you the balls to answer.

Well well well havent I ruffled some white feathers here
Ok boys. I apologise. I've just been tagging you chumps along.
Yes the NRL isnt about sport and I as a "Caucasian" male would like to say that I have had enough of the "Polynesians" succeeding at RL because of their "body type". They're taking away all the positions that us "Caucasians"rightfully deserve. It's a problem that we, the "caucasians" must fix so that the NRL is always a competition which our "caucasian" children can be a part of and one day compete in... No I dont give two hoots whether polynesians are great players or not, they're a "problem". No this aint about race god dammit! This is a Serious question about the NRL's direction
There ya go striker, am i making the RL side look good now?

Why are so many tall people making it to the top in swimming? Have you got the balls to answer this serious question pookus?
I for one am sick of those tall people succeeding at swimming. It's "disproportionate'' success to the population of this country and swimming Australia should ask a serious question about their direction.
Yeah pookus, body type. So fukkin what?
Pookus, Striker, Xman and cos....pack of disproportionate dikkheads
Hows our league side looking now Striker?

The tall folk dominating swimming Xman? Should we be thinking about some policy change there too?
I'm all for asking and confronting the serious difficult issues...How tall are your kids Xman? And do you have a polynesian wife?

Thats bullshit and you know it.If that was the case then all the immortals and greats would be poly. You know why they are dominating. Its because the rules were changed simple. But be an apologist of the NRL there are a lot of them about here. Of course body shape lends itself to different sports especially one dimensional pursuits such as athletics and swimming. But a game with rules and many facets has the oppurtunity to be inclusive for most.It would seem league has gone down another path and made it inclusive for some. Now if you think this isnt going to effect participation then you are truly blinkered. Basketball in america has the same problem and the major reason it is a mile behind baseball and nfl. At least they have made some effort like the three point line to include others who arent 7 foot tall. Bet you what ever you like in the next 2 years there is an overhaul of the interchange. You know I know and the league knows it too.

Put your specs on ya git.If they are good enough on an even playing field which so many are then good. But if they are there simply to exploit their size and the rules that dont allow them to fatigue then of course its the rule change. As Ive said before the AFL has done the same thing and they are back tracking as we speak.Back to 2 on the bench with 2 subs are a monty.Tell me in your honest opinion would half those blokes get a game in the time of the 80 minute warrior. There was a time in the early ninties that I used to love league.Guys like alfie were an inspiration to gnome types like myself. Now hed be splattered by a fat man.Dont care what race he is hes still a fat man.

You're not making much sense pookus. What's the problem with the high percentage of Polynesians in the comp again?
And that Alfie Langer dribble. Again you dont make sense. Sam backo? Blocka Roach? Yeah they were tiny.
Oh and lets matchup Alfie Langer vs the current Dally M winner Benny Barba shall we
Pookus' inspiration Alfie Langer playing wieght = 88kg
Current Dally M winner Benny Barba playing weight = 86kg
Yeah pookus, you know what you're talking about Those bloody polynesians have ruined the game, little guys cant do good no more. Put ya specs on ya git
