My resignation as moderator

Post by Xman »

Just to let everyone know I have resigned as moderator effective immediately.

Wookie's latest vote tipped the scale in favor of those wanting my removal so I'm sticking to my word and resigning. I have pm'd Beaussie but as you know he can be away from the site for many weeks on end, so I just wanted to let you know in case you were wondering why things arent being moderated from now.

Bye guys, have fun

This place is going to go to heck in a handbasket very quickly. Are you able to wait until a new moderator is chosen?

I've copped it from members for years withour issue, so much so I've had to work hard to ensure complaints are kept off the public pages so moderation can at least have a fighting chance to work in this difficult environment. I even gave KE a spell for repeatedly criticising moderation

However, I draw the line when I cop criticism from other site moderators in full view of all members. That's it, I can't do this if the support form my roll is close to zero and my decisions are constantly questioned. It's hard enough moderating as it is without that crap.

So someone else can have a turn at this rewarding role. Enjoy :D

Oi you shut yer yappin ya lil lapdog biatch!!!

Now lets all settle it down folks! Xman's resigned but that's not the end of the world. We've all lived quite happily fighting without moderation on these boards before and we can darned well do it again! But what we don't need is this sort of end of the world is nigh fretting from members like cwacker. So shut yer gob cracker and show a little respect for the ability of the membership to now take over and control ye olde Fiiiiiiiight Club!!

It's been fun Xman, its sure been fun. But alas I can see I was right all along. You really weren't supported in your role and the horrible AFL bias which led to you doing the job without an NRL Fight club moderator was really your downfall. But thanks for the memories. There's been plenty of laughs and definitely some tears from the AFL fellas under your reign. You made mistakes and you made good decisions. You treated me unfairly and I responded in kind but in the end we all had a darned tootin time in my opinion and I'd like to, on behalf of the membership, thank you for your services, even though at times they were quite clearly biased.

Everybody raise your glasses  To Xman!

If there is ever to be moderation on this forum again it must, I repeat must include a mod from both the AFL and nrl persuasion. As I follow both codes I could give it a shot in Xman's absence, but of course id prefer to have the support of another.

Anyway one more time folks... to Xman! I hope you hang about as an ordinary member

You have always had a go at being fair. You haven't been perfect but you have done a better job then most would have on this site. If it means anything you have my vote to continue.

Xman you have my full support - I think Wookie over stepped the mark by criticising you when there was no need - maybe a pm would have been more appropriate than airing it publicly - I think you did a good job and speaking as someone who has stepped over the line - no moderation decisions have been over the top or biased - just the same people who think they can say what they like whenever they like had a huge win here - I have lost a lot of respect for you Wookie! Anyway will be missed Xman - I don't know if I'll stay as I think the lunatics will now run the nut house!

Your respect for me is immaterial. Neither wanted nor asked for. And Im not some yes man for the AFL lobby on this board or on any other. He was being an *** about demanding proof and I am not a moderator on the fight club. Nor are moderators supposed to be immune to criticism. I said his moderation sucked at this time, I stand by it.
Well his job isn't an easy one, he left it up to the posters here to decide that - how could he be any fairer??? No one expects you to be a yes man to the AFL only fair - but haven't seen you criticise NRL HQ so does that mean your a yes man to NRL HQ???? For me there are things wrong with the AFL like ANY organisation but that doesn't mean that AF or the AFL is bad - but that's exactly what RD, KE, AFLCRAPPER, Parra and Pussycat will have you believe - you have pandered to that deranged group and for what???? Very sad day for FC!

As for Xman ,I stayed away from polls or Threads about his moderation.
I Could appreciate how hard it is .
But in the last few weeks I had issues with his rulings about the new rules on here.
Especially lies about what someone posts ,& his argument about SOO.
Other than that No probs.
& I think no matter what side of the fence you are on ,RL or Uncoball ,you will always have a small degree of Bias.
Its just Human nature.
& XMAN thanks for the help when I joined .You were a lone voice of reason among an Obsessed AFL Delusional mob.
TLPG 🤣liar extraordinaire
You should thank me for publishing your IP

and I never published any actual IP. That's it.
🤣
I was a mod at the time .

I also gave them to TLPG believing he was still a mod.I admit I made a mistake.
