The opportunity exists now just for clarity. Every AFL club would like all the talent to play. But they know (unlike King Eliagh) that this is impossible without having an adverse effect on the communities. That is, if I understand what you are suggesting Xman, the logistics don't add up. But according to King Eliagh (in effect) they do and should be exploited to the maximum. I oppose this, and so would the communities if they knew about this proposal of King Eliagh's.

:blahblah: :blahblah: :blahblah: mumbo jumbo shmack :blahblah: :blahblah: :blahblah:

Seriously, have a re read of this stink will ya cracker. You should be ashamed at your lack of intelligence.

I'll ask now, how many players come from the remote communities? The Rioli's? They're from the tiwis but played the majority of their junior footy for stmarys in Darwin. Darwin aint remote.

You know shmack all about what the communities want cwacker, and its a bloody disgrace to hear you talking on their behalf the way you do.

What is required is equal access and that, as with health care, education, basic fruit and vegetables etc etc etc isn't there for those who grow up in remote communities in the NT. Developing pathways would be fantastic and would obviously need to be done with proper consultation and inclusion of local community members, rather than going off what some know it all dingbat like cracker says. My inkling? More remote nt Communities would love more engagement with the AFL and in developing footy programs and pathways. They love their footy, this is quite clear.

I think this answers your questions swines. Proper consultation would require significant work and include the employment of translators and local community leaderss. Additionally the AFL, if they were serious about this should really spend the money on creating a team in Darwin, where a multitude of Aboriginal families live, including many from as far as central desert regions and further. This would 1. Lessen the impact of culture shock for young up and coming footy players (Darwin is way diff to Melbourne last time I looked cwacker ya fool) and 2. In many cases provide important family connections and additional support for many potential Aboriginal AFL players from remote areas of the nt.

Now Xman, common mate, fairs fair, its time to implement the new rule. I mean if you don't then you're kinda suggesting cwackers claim is valid and accurate. I mean...does he think women, children, elderly, unhealthy, unsporty, poor marngrookers and the disabled are gunna be up for selection?

What a crock this cwacker is turning out to be. I'm proud I picked it from the start! :thumbleft: :>::
And I picked it early on that you are extremely rude when you don't get your own way.

You wish to know why the number of Aborigines in remote communities that make it to the AFL is so low? I can answer this for you. They don't want to because they refuse to abandon their community. This is what they would have to do if they were to play in the AFL. This is what you expect them to do. This is despicable. Even if a side was based in Darwin, they would still have to travel to away games and train full time.

And let's just clarify the definition of "all" shall we? Anyone who has an ounce of common sense knows that I am referring only to those who are recruitable in the first place and not the entire community as a whole.

Let's break this down once and for all. The pathways that exist are at the maximum without affecting the constitution (I mean the make up and nothing else) of any given community. Around Alice Springs they have the chance to play there. You mentioned Darwin and the same applies. Your behaviour clearly insinuates that you want all the eligible Aborigines to have a crack at the AFL without exception. It's not going to happen because they don't want it. They are far happier staying in their region and this should be respected.
you are perhaps the dumbest clown of the bunch cwacker. a simpleton with no vision is what you have shown yourself in the above post. narrow minded, shallow, pathetic argument. you have so little to offer dont you? so very little

my arguments in my earlier posts trounce the trashy baseless excuse of an argument you've posted above. a team in darwin would without doubt provide a better alternative, without doubt. in case you didnt know the Aboriginal population in the nt and other areas of aus are extremely mobile. There is significant movement occurring at all times in comparison to the non-Aboriginal population and many community members are by no means isolated to, as you suggest, "their region". They generally have a large family structure and many places they can call home. so again darwin would be a better alternative, it wouldnt be perfect but itd be better.

and just for the record, i believe other institutions also need to increase their reach to allow access for those from the more remote regions, and particularly for those who speak the original languages of this country, who have the added barrier of speaking english as a second third and often 4th language. not just AFL as cracker so dumbly suggests in his waste of a comment that i believe all eligible Aboriginals should have a crack at the AFL. what a dumb git you are cracker. and you deserve to be called out as such. i believe other institutions such as education and health also need to work harder to ensure culturally appropriate and reflective education and healthcare is available and accessible, rather than simply expect those from another culture living in remote areas to tow the line and "pick up their game", or even worse, as cracker so ignorantly argues by suggesting that all Aboriginal people and communities are content living isolated on their region/country happy living on or below the poverty line and wouldnt want to see more culturally appropriate recruitment programs, nor an AFL team in Darwin developed or anything else for that matter.

What a disgusting excuse of an Australian you are cracker [-X

No, King Eliagh, it is you who is a poor excuse for an Australian. You indicate clearly in your response that you don't understand the communities and what they want and desire. Your tack is to assimilate, and this will be rejected outright. If any assimilation should be done, it should be by us and not them. I see no effort by you to do this, and I doubt I ever will such is your misplaced idealism based in a dream that will never be fulfilled without the inate understanding that is required.

Nup. Folk like you cracker are the reason why there's been much drama re the unwritten one white parent rule. You're happy with things to stay just as they are, with Liam Jurrah being the only Aboriginal speaker from central aus making it to the AFL. In fact from your arguments its clear you'd prefer no more Aboriginal people from central aus to come through and play in the AFL because you say it will break up all the families. You dont want a team in darwin where they could keep in touch with families but would prefer them to be able to assimilate to melbourne before being able to play in the AFL.

Oh and btw. That last sentence is the type of dribble a first year arts student writes and thinks its really good writing  Woeful excuse you are.

Oh and its also clear you'd like all Aboriginal people in central aus who are living in poverty to continue living that way and that institutions should not be doing anything to become more accessible and culturally appropriate because, as you said, "they're happy". Disgusting stuff cracker.

You just described yourself, King Eliagh. And you haven't told the truth either. You are the one who wants them to assimilate in Melbourne, Sydney or wherever. You are against developing the communities into proper towns with all amenities. That is what the communities want. You are against this, and that is why you are the disgusting one. You aren't a part of the solution. You are part of the problem.

Hello mcfly! Anyone home?? I said countless times that the AFL should make a team in Darwin and develop localised programs. You said the current AFL programs are doing all that can be done and nothing should be changed i.e. primarily bring em to cities as far and culturally different as melbs to play AFL.

This is also hilarious,

This one's gone a cuckoo fellas, he's rambling like some smack addict on the street trying to explain... "politicians these days.." :(/

No I will not get with your program, because your program is racist and community destroying. Getting Aborigines in Central Australia to move to Darwin is the same as getting them to move to Melbourne. They should be allowed to stay where they want to stay, and we should be bringing the services to them - not the other way around.

Localised programs already exist and go as far as they are going to go. Accept it, and move on.

King Eliagh's program is to break up communities and move Aborigines to the built up areas through making sure that it's the only place they can play Aussie Rules.

Yes read through the posts cos and you'll see what an absolute fruitloop this cracker is. My arguments couldn't be different to the above. An absolute fruitloop...or the dumbest troll ever. Take your pick. Personally I think our cracker is a special mix of both. I mean to make such grandiose statements publicly when all the evidence is to the contrary takes quite an extraordinarily fucked up brain

Cracker? Seriously dude, you need some help. Happy to point you to some places which can provide you with the help you need. Just pm me ok :)
