Not sure if right thread but just speaking to three young blokes from Darwin on xxxx island and asked them what's the main code in Darwin , they said pretty much everyone plays a bit of everything and your mates will drag you along to play but generally all three said AFL was the main sport . Well, they said footy and I asked is that what AFL is referred to , as footy and they said yeah , if you're talking footy you're talking about AFL .
