Gold Coast Titans' crowds crisis could be worse than originally feared.

Stadiums Queensland is about to launch an investigation into a ticketing error that led to almost 14,000 extra fans being added to the club's total attendance at Skilled Park during the past 12 months.w.foxsports.com.au/nrl/nrl-premiership/skilled-park-ticketing-error-reveals-gold-coast-titans-crowd-crisis-is-worse-than-originally-feared/story-fn2mcuj6-1226100661894

THE embattled Gold Coast are on the brink of financial ruin as it emerged the level of debt on the Titans' empire has blown out to an extraordinary $35 million.

As the Titans head to the Federal Court today to fight wind-up proceedings against its property arm, The Courier-Mail can reveal the magnitude of the club's financial haemorraghing, which is worse than the initial forecasted debts of $25-30 million.

I like the relevance of an article thats over 2 years old so ill move on from that one lol...

so now back to WHATS RELEVENT TODAY IN 2014...
Below are the crowd averages i worked out(myself) looking at the home games (and only both clubs ACTUAL home games at skilled and metricon) for both clubs since their beginging and where they came in the competition. (The titans entered the competition in 2007 but didnt play at their home ground until 2008.)

Titans. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .Suns
2013 - 14,572 (9th). . . . . . . . . . . .2013 - 13,906 (14th)
2012 - 14,405 (12th). . . . . . . . . . .2012 - 13,645 (17th)
2011 - 15,429 (last). . . . . . . . . . . .2011 - 18,166 (equal last)
2010 - 17,876 (4th)
2009 - 19,164 (3rd)
2008 - 21,618 (13th)

the funny thing with this thread is how AF fans have highlighted the fact the titans have seen a decrease in crowds (33% drop off to be precise) over 6 years and see it as shocking yet do not have the same judging rules when looking at the Suns, whos crowds have also seen a decrease (25% drop off to be precise) over the last 3 years.

AFL fans in this thread have used the 'GWS excuse', saying that the titans have seen success and have been in the finals in that time and still their crowds have dropped whereas the suns have not been successful and (heres the gws crap...) as soon as they start winning games their crowds will shit on the titans.

Well looking at the facts and figures id say thats not all true... during the last 3 seasons the titans have not been successful at all, their seasons actually look somewhat similar to how the suns have performed the last three years.

from 2011 to 2013 the titans have not been successful (even comming last) yet their crowd average in those three years has only dropped by 6%. during this same time the suns have had similar performances on the field to the titans (not successful) yet have seen a drop in crowd averages by 23%.

Now compareing those two differences is misleading (although i no that a large amount of AFL supporters in here would do it if it helps their cause) because the inargural season for the suns is included and there is always going to be a drop off in crowd averages from an inargural season to season 2 due to initial excitment, novity factor etc. so we cant really compare the crowd figures until the suns have another season or preferably 2 under their belt.

But it is fair to compare the drop offs for the titans and the suns. the titans saw a drop in average crowds from season 1 in 2008 to season 2 in 2009 of only 13% (remember that 2008 was first season played on the gc), whereas the suns saw a drop in average crowds from season 1 in 2011 to season 2 in 2012 of was 26% or double!

I looked deeper into the Suns' 2013 season and there in front of my eyes were clues to answers above, and also a pattern that struck me...

The 'GWS excuse' has been used in this thread on how the crowds for the suns will grow once they are competitive and once fans know that the suns have a chance at winning the game... well their home game against the giants in 2013(basically a sure thing) pulled a crowd of just over 13K. Wheres the full house boys? But i must give that crowd applause as it was the only home game in 2013 (i mean only) which didnt feature one of the AFL clubs whos fans are traditionally known to travel in decent numbers. The suns are lucky to get a help along by other AFL clubs that inflate their crowd averages. But Without the travelling supporters from opposing teams and even the local derby against the lions the suns crowd figures were between 10 and 12,000.

my assumpton from all this is over the next few seasons the home crowds for the Suns will level out to around 10,000. If they get some success on the field there crowds will rise between 10,000 - 13,000. Lol there is no way the Suns are going to be any threat to the titans

Brainless twit.
None of the above has any relevance to the lie you posted.
No amount of deflecting/squirming/twisting can change the fact that you posted a lie about crowd figures.
& GOT CAUGHT OUT AGAIN.

You said SUNS had a higher crowd average .
That was a lie..

& to show how braindead you are .
What yr was that article refering to (2011)..NOT 2012 or 2013 when the Titans outdrew the SUNS..
& you knew that but in true fumbletard style ,you just went ahead & posted a lie..

You're a compulsive liar .
Get help.
Or simply don't post lies .
