Question. How does one prove heavy promotion existed on television and radio?

Answer. It's impossible.
Not impossible, but certainly not within the reach of the usual searches.
Virtually impossible to proove that there was no promotion.

Is the nrl so inept that it would host a game without substantial promotion?
I only saw references to the game on ch9 which is par for course for Perth and rl.
there would be some form of promotion by the NRL at least. they have been promoting the crap out the League & indiviaual cames in Qld and Melbourne all year
If they didnt have any promotion its their own fault. Didnt they save 50m last year?

Whether or not there is proof of promotion doesn't alter the fact that the crowd was down. It's disappointing.

the game would of been promoted to some degree butt to the extent who knows, old noidea smith, is big on advertising, but in terms of the game, who cares, well no one in WA anyway, the crowd was pathetic, what is more funny there was a sold out game up the road, in the wet, watching freo take on a new expansion club GCS

I believe I already made the point that the NIB Stadium game should have been played on Friday night to avoid that.

Its nieve to say that there is or there will be no interest for a WA based NRL team. WA for the last decade or so has seen massive migration from eastern states and NZ and England and just like what occurred in SE queensland from large migrant influxes from the southern states in the 80s and 90s, the new arrivals into WA will bring with them an interest in the sports they had back home and as these migrants increase the interest for RL and (RU) will grow. already in the pilbara there is 50/50 (even higher) RL to AFL interest there (from what i saw)

Where were all these eastern states people on the weekend just gone then and care to point out any evidence of your last point about the Pilbara being 50/50 (even higher) RL to AFL interest there? What you may have saw when visiting is hardly proof.

And that's the only way you have any interest at all - expats.
You have to know how to grow the game.
Nice try Cos.

For all those thousands of ex-pats going to WA and NT and they only have 3000 registered players both juniors and seniors! Don't forget they used to have an RL club over there until it was axed by the Sydney clubs who didn't like flying that far! Maybe for those thousands moving to WA they are trying a Sherrin, after all when in Rome. You have no evidence that this massive surge of migration is having the sort of effect you claim - another BS claim - FFS when will you RL bum sniffing types stop lying and BS-ing????
