Whilst there was indeed a large drop, the average for round 1 in the AFL it is still more than 10,000 ahead of the NRL average after three rounds. However the NRL average, if it's maintained, will be the best ever and that can only be good for them and for competition.

You know nothing about rl, AFL, AF in NZ and now statistics.

The current average is equivalent to a few years back.
If pigs fly then yes the rl will maintain this average but every year the rl
crowd average drops. The factors that cause this are still present are probably
worse due to the unbalanced TV coverage.

i was just point out the growth of the nrl crowds since the beginning of when they started being recorded. every couple of years the NRL crowds go up, then every couple of years they go down

Yes I'd suggest our AFL bumpkins swallow this reality and decide to use the terms growth and AFL a little more discerningly.
