Than I think I just proved my point - but anyway what does it matter? You are right about the trial game - what would the crowd be like if there we're say 3 regular games per year would they maintain that amount of interest?AFLcrap1 wrote:it covers most of the AFL posters on here ..

The same can be said for AFL swans... It's been in NSW and QLd for over 100 years and the actual registered players in Those states is dismal for the amount of timeSwans4ever wrote:I would have thought that the NRL E-Broucher was an up to date figure - again is it a LOCAL comp giving QUESTIONABLE figures and the NRL HAVING different figures - oh and I did include NT for a total short of 10k. - where is the link to Vic? that's tripled since 1998
that figure will triple again in the next 15 years
meanwhile vfl registered club player growth in nsw & qld is stagnet
not doing anything as has been reported many times
this is the real picture
don't let any deluded lying fumblers tell you any different
Then am afraid your wrong
Vic 2778
WA 2733
SA 1053
Tas 109
Total 6713 let's be optimistic and say 6800
Hardly 10000 registered players - also just like you like to remind AFL people about AF in NSW - RL has been in Australia over 100 yrs and what have you got outside NSW/QLD 9100 players still 900 short of 10000.
So out of the approx 11 million Australians that live outside NSW/QLD LESS than 10k play RL, I wouldn't be bragging RD!

Re: more chest beating by the bumsniffers
Ok very simple question in your opinion does RL have a greater presence and registered players in Vic, SA, WA, Tas than AFL has in NSW and QLD????? If answer is no then I have made my point both codes have been around over 100 yrs in this country both originate from our two largest cities (arguably RL has had a greater advantage as Sydney NSW has always been our largest populated state) both had a monopoly on their respective heart lands. So be honest with yourself!AFLcrap1 wrote:Fair go mate .214Four wrote:The same can be said for AFL swans... What do you expect? In those states AFL has competition from rugby league! Or didn't they teach you that in history?214Four wrote:The same can be said for AFL swans... It's been in NSW and QLd for over 100 years and the actual registered players in Those states is dismal for the amount of time
