Yes I recall these events. I think we should add the time AFL players tried to get in the ring against NRL players and got flattened, that and the rexona challenge unfortunately for them was another complete and utter failure!

Alright I gotta admit in RL and RU I was an ok player. I could tackle pretty damn well, had some toe and ball skills. But I wasn't great. When I switched and played marngrook, within my first season I received accolades for my on field performances. Best on Grounds and numerous times in the top three players. I think overall the sport is just easier to be good at, which I s great. Simple sports are good sports too. Maybe this has something to do with the AFLs failure to promote anything other than its regular season comp...? We know the level of athletes are not on the same level as NRL players and then they don't have other nations to draw on so it is just too narrow and simple a field to be able to put on an amazeballs athletic spectacle like the SOO...?

SOO is not perfect but holy hell its close
our international scene is improving hugely from near death in the 1970's
the 9's is brand new & exciting
the all stars is Brilliant
the World club challenge


but everything they try outside of their plain domestic comp fails
