So can I take your lack of serious argument to the KPI's above as an admission that you now concede Sydney Swans are the Biggest club in any sport in Sydney?pHyR3 wrote:Notice how I said swans not AFL. Yes when all else fails stick to ONE KPI and disregard every other KPI - thats the RD way! Regardless of whether you can say which fans are watching their side or the opposition! No......very clear Swans have the runs on the board! You'll have to up your dosage on your meds again RD....your starting to imagine things, lesson ends here!Raiderdave wrote:they are in fact.... the smallest mangina boySwans4ever wrote:So can I take your lack of serious argument to the KPI's above as an admission that you now concede Sydney Swans are the Biggest club in any sport in Sydney?pHyR3 wrote:Notice how I said swans not AFL. Re: A-League could become outright second code from NRL
And shit teams when going shit (in my teams case shit the majority of time) don't get supported no where near as much as they do when winning, it's the same for every sports team on the planet, why would Penrith and Parramatta be any different?
I see North Melbourne struggling compared to other AFL clubs, aren't they in AFL heartland?
What about the Melbourne Demons, heck, they're going strong I heard, aren't they a Melbourne heartland club too?
Where was Port Barrelaide when they were losing, crowds down near the bottom?
Fair dinkum, like arguing with a 2 year old who's eaten 15 kilos of candy.

The stats site is down right now but I'll bet Melbourne and North Melbourne had higher crowd averages than Penrith and Parramatta!! So much for your rant, ParraEel!

Re: A-League could become outright second code from NRL
I don't know if I'd call 30k+ membership and a crowd average in excess of 25k struggling - but I suppose in comparison to Collingwood with 80k membership and 50k average crowd yes you could say that! But Sydney Swans since 1994 have had the highest crowd average in Sydney with the biggest budget, sponsorship etc etc - membership has also been greater than ANY RL side (at times even Brisbane Broncos) No Parra Swans are the number one club in Sydney - but I can't blame you for grasping at straws!ParraEelsNRL wrote:And shit teams when going shit (in my teams case shit the majority of time) don't get supported no where near as much as they do when winning, it's the same for every sports team on the planet, why would Penrith and Parramatta be any different?

Re: A-League could become outright second code from NRL
My point was ladder position isn't always an excuse - as he was trying to say - I bet Penrith would love to have the crowds of ANY of the AFL clubs he mentioned when they were doing great (for that matter ANY of the rest of the Sydney based RL sides). Sydney Swans has had consistently since 1994 the highest average crowds, largest membership etc etc! They are the BIGGEST club in Sydney without doubt!pHyR3 wrote:He didn't say swans......gee whiz.
