Ca Swannies and COWS...mutual losers
To all you heathens out there who writ the Power off against the Ca Swannies last Sunday.....eat Crow!
What a great weekend of gutsy AFL footy....the Ca Swannies big noting themselves at the SCG with all those South Melbounre footballers cashing in on the festivities only to then have the lads from Alberton come across and gatecrash the festivities....the Ca Swanny supporters were tripping over themselves at 3 quarter time to leave the ground. Also 33,000 people at the game was a piss weak turnout......
And last but not least to cap off a great weekend the 'mighty' Adelaide Cows going down by 2 points against the real AFL Premiers of 2005. Again the COW supporters were also leaving when the COWS hot the front for a couple of minutes in the last term thinking their 'team' had won the game....lol!

Yes Grim, it was a very embarassing loss. Put simply, they were outclassed by a faster and more talented side!Grim Reaper wrote:Yes I have a lot of hide...a city of 4 million and the AFL Premiers by default have only 33,000 at the game....had a good laugh at how that flagpole and flag came down real quick as the Power went about giving the Ca Swannies a smashing!....lol
The Swans winning the Flag last year was akin to an average mug punter winning lotto with the last $5 in his pocket - it has happened, but don't bet on it happening again!

You cannot live in the past Beaussie - you're results from last year don't matter now.Beaussie wrote:Exactly how did the Lions and the Power go last season? That's right, better left unsaid hey fellas.
If previous glories were on the table - surely the Lions 3 premierships in a row in 2001 - 2003 and Grand Finalists in 2004 would give me bragging rights?
Or Port's record in the SANFL over a century or their superior win/loss record of the last 4 years (including 3 minor premierships) would give Grim the edge over you.
From where I'm sitting, the Swans are travelling 0 and 2 and are no certainties against the Blues this weekend!
I also note that the Swans have blown to 24-1 premiership chances, behind both the Lions (15-1) and Port (12-1) in markets with Centrebet so it would seem several astute judges think your team is fucked this year!
