1) Benji Marshall won that, true kiwi and a legend.

2) The 2000 RLWC was a poor one because of one sided contests. Thus having qualifiers is necessary to prevent this and it also provides legitimacy. Union is also tryin to expand, so is soccer.

3) Why would I admit that, i can appreciate almost every sport except your abomination. The only thing that is remarkable about them is their endurance, and perhaps that thingy where they put the knee on the shoulder of the guy infront to take a mark. Like Ive said many times I approached it with an open mind before.

There's also another 9 clubs in with Toulouse who pay their players with the lowest in the comp being around 350,000 Euros with another 10 clubs in the French 2nd division going right down to the 4th tier.

You honestly think the semi pro clubs in England and Wales don't pay their players? For goodness sake, PNG's local comp is semi pro with a salary cap in place too.

Which is the same for AFL in the BARFL (English AFL) and AFL PNG where they get regular crowds of 2000 - 6000. But we don't have to prop up those sides to make them competitive - USA doesn't have semi pro players but came 3rd in IC11.

Actually that's where your wrong, NZ, GB, Sth Africa, Canada and PNG all have junior comps - Ireland and Denmark have very strong domestic comps - so to come 3rd was a very good achievement!

What's a junior comp, 10 kids of expats coming together for a kick of the ball?

The countries I named have very strong ADULT TEAMS in a legit world cup. and two semi pro leagues in the US.
