You don't have 3 divisions for every age group.
You have 3 zones.
Some clubs have 1/2/3 teams per age group just like JAFCs.
You don't have many clubs in Canberra.
You're driving 60k ~ 90k to Yass and Goulburn.

There are more AFL clubs IN Canberra as well as clubs surrounding Canberra like the Gouldburn Swans and Yass Roos.

Just for clarity,(for the dummies) the existance of three zones does not imply three divisions.
The existance of a comp in Zone 3 does mean there is a comp in Zone 1 or 2.
Some clubs do have multiple teams and that's as far as it goes.
Divisions as the word says is a divide on geographical, standard or age etc.

JAFCs have exactly the same setup with different number of teams in different age groups.
Nice try Cos.

just to clarify

& again for the dummies who all appear to be fumblers :-k :(/

there is no difference between a zone or... a division

its a term used to describe the level of skill within it
the Canberra Region Junior Rugby League fields 3 zones / divisons / comps .. within each age group from years 6 to 16 throughout its region

a total of 330 minor league teams & a whopping 5500 kids

more then double the number of weedy little shits who fumble bumble n miss in the same region who only field 1 zone/divison in each age group & don't even have an U16's .....

add our newly acquired low contact variant ( touch football ) to these numbers & there are over 20,000
that's
20,000 kids playing RL & its variants &
2,700 playing bumbleball

wow

dave, you don't have 3 fully loaded divisions certainly not in all age groups.
Some times you have teams in 2 "zones"
Sometimes you teams in only 1 "zone"
This is NO DIFFERENT to JAFCs that have multiple teams in certain age groups.
And , surprising JAFCs call these extra teams by colours too or animals etc etc.
Nice try Cos.

cockhead
we have 24 teams .... in every age group (6-16) over 3 zones/ divisons/comps

the VFL has half this number of teams in each age group .... & doesn't field sides in the 6's .... 7's or 16's like RL does

it isn't even close   :_<> :_<> :(/ :(/
rugby league has about double the number of players that fumbles n bumbles does in Canberra & surrounds

Not relevant, because there are more AFL clubs so you can't go with multiple divisions as it's not practical. With less clubs you have to and that's actually a bad thing, not a good thing.

who give a frogs crap how many clubs there are
its the numb of kids playing the game you half witted *********

ie
2 VFL clubs field one side each in the U14's
1 RL club fields 3 sides in the U14's
Who said anything about VFL playing in Canberra? Point me to where Box Hill play in Canberra!

Anyway you want to make that sort of comparison? You can't, because it doesn't work. There are more clubs playing AFL than there are playing rugby league which creates more opportunities. It's much harder to get a game in rugby league with such a restrictive set up. No wonder kids are running to AFL to get their sporting fix.

And you can't stand it because it's true. There are less players in a rugby league team than there is in an AFL team. That's why club numbers are relevant as well.

again
who cares about the numb of clubs :?>

if an RL club has 11 age groups in it ... & 3 sides in each age group
it has more teams & players then

2 VFL clubs that field sides in 8 age groups with 1 side in each

thats the 1 RL club with 33 teams & about 600 kids ( about 18 per team ) registrations go up to 20 for a minor league team in Canberra
the 2 VFL clubs have 16 teams & 400 kids ( about 25 per team )

thats as clear as it can get

Bullshit. I just looked and totalled up the zones. 21. Not 33. And four of them don't play for premiership points.

And don't forget - there are loads of NON ACT teams in that comp from Queanbeyan, Goulburn, Yass, Cooma, Bungendore (had to look that one up as I've never heard of it) and Crookwell (same).

I'm finishing up the stats now.

And it's AFL. That's the name of it and don't you forget it. It's played in every state and territory so you fricking bet it's worthy to have the name on it. You can't stand that can you, dear boy?

Oh here we go! Here are the REAL figures!!

Canberra Junior Rugby League total teams in the ACT from Under 10 to Under 16;

77

AFL Canberra Junior total teams in the ACT from Under 10 to Under 17 (no Under 16 so it counts);

76

Taking into account that AFL fields more players to a team.......GUESS THE REST!!!!!
