Should Cricket include ratings in India when we play India ? Yes or no ?
The Aust cricket/Union teams play in international competition - ICB/SANZA. They are teams in these competions. I dare say that in the unlikely situation thee International Cricket Board ever needed to know its ratings it would add up the figures

Yes our prelim final has wooped the AFL prelim easy

Sat TV ratings #AFLFinals Seven 1.229m (Syd 106k Mel 554k Ade 198k Per 371k) 7mate Bri 35k @Fremantle_FC @sydneyswans

Sat STV #AFLFinals FoxFooty 402k @Fremantle_FC @sydneyswans

2.14m viewers

Smashed............ and with no simulcast to speak of........
Want to try that again?

@Todd_Greenberg: The ratings for Friday night’s game between @SSFCRABBITOHS & @manlyseaeagles was 1.998m.

:(/

as we said, we've won every final so far, and Sunday will make it a clean sweep.

Care to prove how you won last weeks prelim ratings?

2m+ NZ 2.1m thats just FTA in Aus no Fox simulcasts

Your simulcasts ratings are BS and every knows it............................30% of the population started watching AFL in 2011 because of simulcasts...............yeah when pigs fly.....................

Link me your AFL ratings for prelims????.......Go on..
:(/

"But but but your foxtel a BS"...........

The ratings never went up by 30% you goose. They went up by 10% or so overall. The FTA dropped because of the viewers that changed to Foxtel. Why did they rise by 10%. Hmm, maybe because for the first time ever AFL fans could watch live AFL which finished before 11pm. And Perth fans actually got to see the game before it actually finished.

Suck it up pal. The AFL have owned the NRL in ratings all year. You just stick your fingers in your ears and ignore all the ratings. Poor poor dear :_<>

Yeah You are way behind RL ratings in Aus......................................You got a rise from your Silly simulcasts and you think the TV networks are going to fall for that trick come negotiation time..... :(/ :(/ :(/ :_<> :_<>

FACTS
RL rates larger on FTA and Fox.

RL tv ratings are well above 140million including NZ, and if you add in the RLCW ratings in Aus this year it gets more embarrassing for you by the minute....

Facts are that the NRL like for like have beaten the AFL in the final series games in 2013, you have been beaten for the largest sporting broadcast in 2013.........you are not even close.............NRL SOO 1,2,3 all beat your GF by a country mile....... :_<> :_<>

Don't forget our TV deals are about 1.3billion dollars for a 16 team comp.................wait for the next TV deal when we go to 18......................GAME OVER....

Haha eels. :(/ :thumbleft:

The AFL simulcast their broadcasts so they are added for a total figure. We allow you to add regionals to show your entire market. How is it fair to disallow the AFLs entire market?

If you win fox ratings why has foxfooty been the top foxtel channel for the last 6 months? You think they may pay attention to that?

So wheres your proof of 30% ratings increase? :?> what happened? Lies were they? :_<>

As for your next TV rights, what will the NRL sell next? They already sold control of their games scheduling to channel 9. Broncos own. FN, smaller clubs with few if any FTA games. What a farce. What will they do next to try to keep up with the AFL? :(/

Hmm, thinkTV suggests your PFs after regionals were 1827k and 1596k. Where are you getting 1998k from? Surely your not suggesting 171k watched from regional wa and Tasmania

Would you like an example of why people don't trust thinkTV?

Ok, according to Think TV the AFLs Friday PF rated 844k metro.... :?>

Yet Oztam said: @MediaweekAUS: Fri TV ratings #AFLFinals @HawthornFC @GeelongCats Seven 840k (Mel 668k Ade 172k) 7mate 292k (Syd 60k Bri 48k Per 183k) = 1132k. :(/ ahhhhhh, what's up there thinkTV? Forget 7mate did we? :(/

Add NSW/QLD/VIC 196k according to thinkTV = 1328k
Add Tasmania and WA 150k = 1478k
Add Foxtel 443k = 1911k

How does that compare to the NRLs Friday PF of 1827k? :_<> :_<> :_<>

So both AFL PFs rated over 1.9m while none of the NRLs PFs did. :_<>

It seems to suit you people to only count part of the the Tv audience - the part that best suits you. Counting just Metro might means counting just part of the Audience - So it means absolutely nothing!
Most on here seem to argue which code is more watched in Australia. If you need to include ratings from other countries to win your code is obviously not the most watched in Australia.
Which code rates the best on TV - Not in Australia, Not only in capitol cities. and not restricted to people with one white parent!

Stinks of desperation. If it makes you happy to include NZ then you're going to do it. Fact us AFL rates better on tv on Australia.

When cricket is played India is playing in the Australian domestic competition run by cricket Australia.

People from rl constantly want to change the boundaries.

First, when beaten by 5 city metro the screamed about regionals. When regionals were still added in and AFL said okay but add in ours (despite regionals being doddgy as) we still one.

Then they would say, we kick areas on pay tv with 77 of the top 100. When AFL did the deal with fox fur every game and kicked arse on fox cause a lot of AFL people took up fox, they just wanted to compare fta, leaving out fox. So now, only in the last year or two, they want to include nz tv ratings ..... ???? What next do you think?

Oh I forget, AFL on fox ratings are now somehow dubious with double counting ......???

All this and the fact is nrl ratings dropped this year !!!

No, it does't, with or without NZ we  you. For any Fair comparison, between the two codes we need to take into account ratings for all NRL/AFL club's, not just some, or the ones that suit you!

When cricket is played in India(overseas) it is a test match and is a match in a competition run by the international cricket board - same scenario , the International Cricket Board would be the competition runner - AFL/NRL and Australia and India are just 2 teams in that competition eg. swans/Souths v collingwood/manly

Yes The NRL did experience a dip this year. Mainly due to poor scheduling. But we Kicked your arse - imagine how far we will kick when we get that right :_<>. Maybe we need to follow your example and ban 1/3 of clubs from the Friday Night time slot.

It wasn't all gloom & doom though.

RL broke there record, for the largest crowd to a club game, and then re -broke it later in the season.
Souths, Easts, Canterbury, Storm - achieved there highest ever crowds for a club game.
Achieved there largest crowd in WA.
Achieved there largest membership figures.
Sydney Roosters largest ever crowd average.
Highest ever TV rating, in Sydney, for a club match as well as a finals match.
Highest ever ratings for an Origin match.
The Gold medal
The Silver Medal
The Bronze medal.

The AFL won both prelim finals as I showed on the last page. They also won all other finals and about 90% of Friday night games. They smash the NRL on Saturday and Sunday too.

How the hell did the NRL win? :?>

When cricket is played in Australia it is cricket Australia that runs the comp ???? One day, tests, 20 20. Same goes for when played in India I Indian cricket board runs it??? So by your analogy we would include ratings in India for a 20 20 match on Australia where India are playing .

The whole point of this thread and forum is for it to be a cock measuring contest about which code is bigger in Australia. Every time the nrl get shown up ... Which is over and over the nrl want to change the parameters !!! As shown above or they simply make stuff up or be selective . Well you keep doing that as the real world passes you by. This is the only forum I know of where nrl people think the nrl is going great and where the AFL is not looked at, begrudgingly, as a model the nrl should follow.

Test cricket is run by an international board ! India, Australia, Pakistan , West Indies, England etc are the competitors!

NRL v AFL. Not part.

and as pointed out , all or just Australia, we kick your arse at both :(/ :(/ :(/ :(/ :(/ :(/ :(/ :(/

Stop listening to Demetriou's propoganda and claptrap and try thinking for yourself.

The only way the NRL won the ratings in Australia is if they ignore the AFLs foxtel ratings. If added the AFL win almost every single game.
