Re: NRL's new song "Another One Bites The dust"
Do any rl players take playing in the nRL seriously? Players leave all the time, only to be welcomed back with open arms?
What a fucking joke!

What a fucking joke!

my my cussy ... for a fumbles & bumbles fuckwit
you certainly stay abreast of all things NRL don't you
& why wouldn't you
look at the key stone cops .. benny hill show disaster .. better known as the VFL
Clubs Tanking & being let off
Clubs salary cap rorting & being let off
Injection galleries as training facilities & nothing being done
Club Presidents players & fans giving impersonations of KKK grand wizards.. & nothing being done
Players being charged with rape , & nothing being done & said rapist being allowed to play
If the worst thing that is happening in the NRL is a club stands its ground against an aging former star & refuses to upgrade his contract to a million a year for 4 years ... which by the way in his final year h'ell be turning 33
& instead will invest in the future .. so said star walks to Yawnion & instant irrelevance
then I'll have our code over your garbage bumbling crap one any day

Re: NRL's new song "Another One Bites The dust"
as a Tigers supporter I wish Benji all the best If he does go to Rugby Union, and i am happy at the tough stance the Wests Tigers Board acted on the BM contract renegotiations. Benji wanted more money and a 5 year contract (i believe) but sadly his performance on the field for the last 2 seasons and his age do not warrant his contract demands.
if the tigers had agreed to the large fee being asked by Benji i feel the tigers would have lost some of their emerging up and comming talent to other clubs. The tigers need to realise (fans aswell) that the team needs to go through a transition period and look to the future, and lock in contracts with the young talented players they want for the future.
Those who say Benji isnt loyal need to seriously grow up. He has been with the tigers for 10 years and he knows that theres only afew years left in his professional sports career where he can demand very good money, so why wouldnt he try to get the most he can before his age and injuries finally catch upto him?
I think that Benji should stay in Rugby League though because he has a spot on the footy show, and is popular with rugby league fans. If i was him i would be looking into a 2 year contract with the tigers and then (whilst still very popular) trying to secure a tv contract with channel 9 and the footy show. that way he has a high earning career long after his finished playing football.
ON ANOTHER NOTE.... With the silly ARU and NZRU rules on player eligibility, if he did sign for the waratahs wouldnt that make him eligible to play for the wallabies and ineligible to play for the All Blacks?

Hopefully for your sake he takes Tim Moltzen with him.214Four wrote:as a Tigers supporter I wish Benji all the best If he does go to Rugby Union, and i am happy at the tough stance the Wests Tigers Board acted on the BM contract renegotiations. Great post. 10 years is a good career in sport. It's a shame that RL can't invest in players like him to keep him in the game until he retires.

This isn't about just any ol'd players leaving.
The top stars of the game have left at their peak charisma.
There is an article explaining just what a marketing loss this.
I'd post it if I thought some people would actually read it instead of trying to counter with the usual irrelevant shyte.

Re: NRL's new song "Another One Bites The dust"
cos as a rl and west tigers supporter i think i can honestly give a better opinion that you and some twats article in a newspaper(geez 90% of shit in those these days is either scar mongering or goss to sell papers).
Yeh Benji will be a loss and missed at the tigers, he has been a great member of the club, BUT he is no longer the 'top star' of the game, he was at his peak early id say as early as 2005 when he was a major factor in the tigers winning the premiership, and was at his best till about 2010.
The last few years he has been on the wain, and 2013 has probably been his worst season, proof in that is the FACT how he has not played a starting role in all the NRL games and has been benched often this season. with the NRL's rule on limited substitutions (12 per game), no team would like to be wasting a 'sub', but really 2 'subs' (if you want to get him back on the field) on one of your guys who are normally expected to last the full 80 mins if injury free.
The tigers have a young talented halfback comming through and if the tigers gave(or wasted) the money benji wanted, then that would have been a bigger concern for the club, specially considering the amount of talented players we have given away the last two years (with the amount of ex tigers playing for the sharks there are basically two wests teams in the NRL this year).

Re: NRL's new song "Another One Bites The dust"
Benji is past his best by a long shot and is not worth the money he is asking.......................he has been average for the tigers for at least 3 years now.
No big loss, another star will come through and the tigers will be better off having someone that wants to be at the club.

What a wanker I think your referring to Kieren's brother Brandon - and I think your referring to a different age players shorts are really no tighter than RL shorts now days in fact I'm pretty sure the jumpers and pants are the same material in both codes! But feel free to continue being wrong214Four wrote:^^^ HAHAHA!:D
