In a major step forward for the AFL PNG Coca-Cola talent pathway the Under 14 Binatangs today defeated North Queensland at Broadbeach to take out the 2013 Queensland Championships.
Match 3 Final
Binatangs 10.6.(66)
North Queensland 2.0.(12)
PNG - Best: Samuel Kenjau, Cobern Gamuna, Paniel Penias, Jemasol Paira, Thomas Wakon, Sylvester Wesley, Saburo Gerard, Iama Rawali.
PNG - Goals: Sylvester Wesley 2, Saburo Gerard 2, Justine Murawa, Valentine Janguan, Cobern Gamuna, Kepas Matrus, Paniel Penias, Eddie Manzin.
Coaches Award: Jemasol Paira (PNG)

For the record in other last day matches, Gold Coast North (6.1.37) def Brisbane South (2.6.18); Sunshine Coast (5.2.32) def Brisbane North (2.5.17); Brisbane West (6.11.47) def Gold Coast South (5.6.36).
For the Binatangs who arrived last week their journey began with a warm up match against the Sandgate Hawks All Stars. The Bintangs lost 5.7.37 to 8.12.60.
Their first match of the tournament was against Sunshine Coast Power at Broadbeach on Monday.

Then on Wednesday took on the Brisbane West lads.
