This is like reasoning with a potatoe. Let me break this down into easily digestible parts.

an nRL game attracts 200 more people than an AFL game in darwin. This is the 2nd time this has happened.

OP claims this means Rugby League the sport is now the dominant sport in Darwin. Note that he didn't say that the nRL was more popular than the AFL in Darwin, he said Rugby League.

I point to the fact more people attend the local NTFL than do the NTRL. I suggest that more players from the NT play in the AFL than the nRL. I asked if anyone knew the figures for the nRL (I don't). I would also suggest that participation in the NT is significantly in favour of Australian Football (http://www.aflnt.com.au/index.php?id=6& ... 38ab1fa9ae). These points are somehow dismissed as irrelevant to the topic of Rugby league being the dominant sport in Darwin.

I jokingly suggest that using this absurd logic, the fact GWS outdrew the Raiders once means that Canberra was, for that weekend at least, officially Australian Football territory. KE points to other evidence that has previously been posted re: canberra. This side information is relevant to the discussion for Canberra, but not relevant in Darwin apparently?

Sorry for the extra post folks but im testing a glitch in the system. in my first post I said nicely put raiderdave, yet the word put was omitted. I go in to edit the post and "put" was in there...??? This has happened before so am wondering wtf is going on?
