Wowweeee nrl fails again
Re: Wowweeee nrl fails again
None of us work for ticketek, the AFL or the nRL. Which is why we can only go by what is published in newspapers by those with access to those figures. I had no idea how much the AFL GF made from tickets, not the nRL SOO series, so I base my knowldge of these entirely on sources that I found from google searches. I have provided sources that say the AFL F generates $50m in reveue from ticket sales. This includes travel packages. We are a naional game, people fly from across Australia to atend, and the AFL gouges them mercilessly for tickets. I have provided a source that says the nRL SOO generates $30million dollars. I have been unable to find one that seperates that betwee sponsorship, ticket sales etc. If you can find one, by all means provide it. I will happily stand corrected if you provide a source.

And your $30m figure includes team sponsorship etc. Provide a source, an actual source, that shows how much SOO generates from ticket revenue alone. Your insane maths is not a source. I was unable to find one that broke down the $30m between sponsorships etc and ticket sales.Raiderdave wrote:for the tenth timeDrac wrote:None of us work for ticketek, the AFL or the nRL. Average ticket price is about 100 dollars (65% would be bronze or silver tickets which cost 55 and 95 dollars for adults to purchase)Raiderdave wrote:Drac wrote:And your $30m figure includes team sponsorship etc. Provide a source, an actual source, that shows how much SOO generates from ticket revenue alone. There are not 215K tickets sold, all of the ANZ members get in for free as part of a package. Im sure Lang park members are the same.
Would be about 180K tickets sold for a total of about 18 million the rest would be corporate and other sales.
2012 would have been less then that. Maybe 16 million with 14 million corporate.

Re: Wowweeee nrl fails again
The nRL's horror past month continues with yet another off field incident. Thugby league is really living up to its name.

Also yet another arse Raiders player is in the wrong. That club must have a terrible culture.ANOTHER NRL player has been caught up in off-field strife with a South Sydney star charged and suspended by his club after an incident in Cairns.
Rabbitohs player George Burgess has been charged by police with two counts of wilful damage of a car.
Queensland Police say a NSW man used a sign he found in the street to smash the rear window of a car.
The incident allegedly happened at Redlynch, in Cairns, about 2.45am (AEST) on Monday.
A statement released by Cairns police this morning revealed Burgess damaged the car after a "disagreement" with a resident of a unit complex.
The Rabbitohs were in Cairns for the round 14 NRL clash with the Gold Coast Titans at Barlow Park, which the Rabbitohs won.
Burgess has apologised in a statement issued by the Rabbitohs.
"I would like to apologise unreservedly to the Rabbitohs members, sponsors and everyone in the community," he said in the statement.
"I have let my team and my family down.
"I acknowledge that I am a role model for kids and I will do everything I can to restore my reputation through working harder in the community.
"It is my responsibility to ensure that this type of behaviour does not happen again.
"I will learn from my mistake and bounce back stronger and better as a person."
Burgess will front Cairns Magistrates Court on July 10.
South Sydney issued a statement today saying they informed the NRL of Burgess's charges yesterday.
"George Burgess has been charged with two counts of wilful damage to property following an incident that occurred in Cairns on Monday morning," the statement read.
"Burgess has admitted guilt to the charges and is co-operating with police over the incident.
"The Rabbitohs informed the NRL Integrity Unit of the incident on Monday morning.
"The Rabbitohs have stood Burgess down pending further investigation and are working with the NRL Integrity Unit regarding the details of the penalty to be imposed."
Burgess, a front rower who was born in England, debuted for the Rabbitohs in 2012.
He is one of four brothers who are all signed to South Sydney, including his twin brother Thomas.
The incident comes after NSW State of Origin player Blake Ferguson was yesterday suspended from playing after being charged with indecent assault.
The 23-year-old Canberra Raiders winger is alleged to have groped a 23-year-old woman, who slapped him after the incident at a Cronulla bar on Sunday night.
