Adam Goodes - unfortunately or perhaps intentionally not asked about if he'd experienced racism on the field.

He says [about racism]..."It definitely hasn't (been eradicated)," Goodes tells Sheahan. "Almost isn't good enough.
"It's something we're continually talking about at our indigenous camps that we have every second year... A lot of players don't report it. It does really effect some players"
A stark on field contrast between the two codes if you ask me. Why are their more racist players in the AFL? I'd say it's because the AFL has not been able to build a multicultural culture and ethos like in the RL. They're trying but really, when you have the terms 'Australian rules' in the name of the sport and the sport is only played professionally in Australia, you're not really espousing an inclusive open and multicultural ethos to the game, are you? The name of the game symbolises a narrow nationalistic notion that belongs in the days of the white australia policy, the time in which the name was developed. The game should be called marngrook, you'd then have something that contributes to reconciliation and a more open and inviting name for the sport, not confined to a bloody nation and its 'rules', like in 99.9% of all sports names...the way it should be.
Just sayin it like it is folks, just sayin it like it is.
