Battle of Moore Park - AFL vs NRL Sunday

Post by Beaussie »

Sunday 5 May 2013. Two codes battle it out next door to each other at the Sydney Cricket Ground and Sydney Football Stadium. Which code was more popular with the people of Sydney I hear you asking? Crowd results (even KE attended another AFL game in Sydney :P ):

Sydney Swans vs Brisbane Lions - 23,315

Sydney Roosters vs Penrith Panthers - 11,176

I remember laughing to myself just before the game started that us AFL fans had filled all the car parks outside the grounds. Where would the NRL fans park their cars?

Who cares I thought. :<> :<> :<>

Lesson for the NRL, don't take on the might of the AFL in Sydney. We will crush you.

RL heartland :(/ :(/ :(/

IMO it can't have been too far from a sellout. No GA tickets and we got the last of the cheap tickets.
Only some more expensive tickets left.
I was really impressed withe SCG even with the hole.
The atmosphere, the viewing, the sea of red and white, the merchandising all topped off with a kick to kick on the ground.
When the stadium is complete it's going to be magnificent.

Oh, the rl - was there a game on?
Who would have noticed.
Nice try Cos.

Yes twas a lovely day, the sun was shining, the birds were chirping and a decent crowd went along to watch what can only be called a disastrously lopsided match. After 5 minutes Beaussies dad commented it was like a "training run".

Brissie, the team they all said were going to be much improved, the NAB cup winners  , were nothing more than an absolute basketcase in front of an underperforming swans side. It was laughable and I must say I've always hated the lions so i didnt mind watching them get belted...but I'll never go to a match where a basketcase is playing against an AFL team again. It really isnt worth the admission fee. As beaussies dad said, we all payed to watch "a training run"...big problems, that's what the AFL's got.

Listen to the presumptuousness of you clowns.

Easts Penrith match was a close match until about 20mins to go.

Lions Sydney? All and sundry could see it was over after 5mins of play. Such is usually the case when a basketcase takes on an AFL team. It was... "a training run" Thanks Mr Beaussie. It was...40 zip after about 10mins. Drac, next time try typing what's in your head, then before pressing post send it on to me in a pm to test whether it makes any sense at all. You clearly are lacking in the sense department

And pete? Wtf are you on about clown? I hated brisbane when they were successful with that fat fukk voss running round. Don't you dare presume my reasons for anything, ever again, you utter clown! [-X Now bow down and apologise! [-X

Gee someone is angry today!!! Did u get up on the wrong side of the bed today King

I just asked a simple question, no need to be rude.

So let me get this straight, u hate Brisbane (which was one of the best teams ever) becuase they had Voss (one of the best & most respected players of all time) as captain of the team.

Good reason idiot!!!!!

You didnt "just ask a question", you asked a loaded question and then fired away your foolish presumption like the presumptuous wealthy cokk noggin at a dinner party. Manners pete, learn them. Now its time to apologise :D

Rugby League is the 4th ranked code in Sydney's Eastern Suburbs when it comes to crowds and general interest. Rankings clearly as follows:

1. AFL
2. A-League
3. Super Rugby
4. NRL

Apologise for what asking a simple question on why u hate a team that is struggling at the moment, yet u cant give me a decent answer.

Please dont ever go to a footy game again (we dont need idiots like u going giving it crap all the time), stick to your exciting Parramatta Eels. haha
