Re: AFL ANZAC Day Clash
Such national fervour and patriotism in light of the war in which nz and aussies fought side by side in a mission with shared objectives is understandable...if we were in a time before the 80's. But we're in 2013 and in a globalised world, more understanding of the vital importance of international relationships.
We all know dumb soldier swines is still living back in the 70's where men like he went to incredible lengths to hide their sexuality, even joining the armed forces...like swines did himself.

Re: AFL ANZAC Day Clash
Jesus swines, you know we're living in 2013 and you're writing on an internet forum where intelligence reigns over pathetic homophobic comments that belong in the 1980's???Swans4ever wrote:Look I'm sorry that your choice in life was offended, obviously we don't put up our sexual status when we join, furthermore the way your pursuing this particular topic is because of some mental retardation so I'll apologise if for calling you a basket-weaver as well. Obviously these are traits you were born with and I won't make fun of someone who has no choice in the matter. As for ANZAC day well there's no convincing you, you must know (although being mentally disadvantaged) your wrong so I won't press the point anymore. I take back the clone insult as well yr definitely an individual - we wouldn't more than one of you, even Raiderdave doesn't appear to have the same repetative signs of being ********. Hang no I take the last one back your still a clone
Please, allow me to help you become a bit more intelligent, atleast with your written English.
Ahhh this makes no sense. Horribly written. A year four teacher would be very worried and calling for the school psychologist to make a hasty assessment. Try rephrasing it so you dont come across as though you're the offspring of white trailer park trash and a wookie.swines :pig: wrote:I'm sorry that your choice in life was offended

Re: AFL ANZAC Day Clash
That would have to be one of the dumbest things I think I have read on here .... One of ... Lol. Australia and New Zealand fought alongside other nations at Gallipoli . But really, even though you're wrong KE is this the best you can come up with ... It's inane at best. For someone who comes to such a forum to try and bully and intimidate by some self proclaimed intellectually superiority , is this the best you have . The AFL, whilst doing well, aren't doing that well that you have to resort to this to troll their supporters .... Surely. Stick to the drugs stuff man or maybe the giants not being competitive .... I know the whole lopsided comp thread hit a snag with the saints, west coast , and north all being at the bottom .... But there must be other things you can attack/troll them Anzac Day in the AFL between Collingwood and essendon and trying to incite swans by suggesting he is on the closet .... So much you could play with and you chose those two .... Come on man... Give me more to play with ...King-Eliagh wrote:Such national fervour and patriotism in light of the war in which nz and aussies fought side by side in a mission with shared objectives is understandable...if we were in a time before the 80's. Swines is in the closet until he comes out and professes he is a homophobe, afraid of the gay population.
Amusing, I know, as the gay population have never been anything you would think any man would fear, especially one who has been enlisted in the army. I mean, I dont know about you phelpsy me boy, but I'd be pretty worried having a gay fearing man like swines fighting for our counry
What a pussy
I'm not criticising the anzac day clash, overall it's pretty decent. But 'twould be improved greatly by showing respect and acknowledgement of our NZ comprades. I find it strange you folk cant agree with this...
Very strange, and your arguments certainly are quite narrow in response.
Perhaps you folk could think a lil harder?

Queen-Eliagh pretty brave on a computer! Maybe you should actually go to a march someday or at least watch it on a TV, there is the contingent of foreign servicemen - there is even serbians marching even with the recent issues they were still allowed to march. You can say all you like about gay thing etc-doesn't worry me - I was calling you NRL fans fudge packers etc..... Not criticising gay people - like I said many times I have no issue with it being legal only when it becomes compulsory thats when I draw the line . Unlike Raiderdave I don't advocate assaulting anyone let alone gay people- if your going accuse me of something get it right - I am an NR fan basher particularly those that are ignorant. As you can't tell me you have served - it also tells me something about you - you have never lived with others from various areas who have differing religions, skin colours, sexual persuasions and attitudes in general. I have worked with all, have never needed to question any of a man's qualities until his quality as a man has been brought under question by his actions - ur partial retraction to Phelpsy shows me that you are a coward - you can't admit your comments were offensive and in poor taste. You can't admit it and move on - I would have much greater respect for you if it was the case! As for the other slur if you live in glass houses - but by all means please continue with your ranting, I will keep posting even if you can't move past this.

OI! Pay attention and answer my questions soldier!
1. Are New Zealanders part of the ANZAC tradition?
2. If yes would it therefore be rather distasteful not to acknowledge their contributions?
3. Does the video below in any way reflect the manner in which you were discharged from the army, particularly the first scene?

Re: AFL ANZAC Day Clash
Hey Queenie I got a laugh out of that, very amusing! I now rescind my previous clone statement, as for how I left it was time to go to a different occupation which is not relevant. My 14 yr old son had a laugh as well - as to your 1st question of course they are part of tradition - they acknowledge ANZAC day and where the day has its origins. But, ANZAC day is not just about Gallipoli anymore, it covers many different battles and actions and different wars. There are many battles we stood with Americans in battle e.g. Milne Bay, Coral sea, Vietnam, Korea, Somalia and more recently Iraq and Afghanistan. We were on the Russians side in WW1 and 2 but not the cold war and we were Allied with the Canadians and served in the same sector of the Eastern Front. Briton we were with from the Boer War to Korea and (vietnam being the main exception) to Afghanistan. But we don't acknowledge their dead, my point is in Australia it is a day to remember Australian war dead and in New Zealand it is for theirs. There are occasions when we come together and remember both together an example is the multi national ANZAC day dawn service on the beaches of Gallipoli where even the Turks are remembered. So it is not disrespectful to not remember the other when they are not there such as Essendon v Collingwood. Calling it disrespectful is wrong for that reason. Now I know we're still going to sling off at one another but I hope you at least understand my point.

Re: AFL ANZAC Day Clash
Not bad points swines, however my main point is equally valid, if not more so. The ANZ in ANZAC really negates your points, even though they are true points. To celebrate ANZAC day properly we must recognise its true meaning. Otherwise it should be renamed.
And I've noticed you've pulled back on your offensive violent homophobic comments of late...pulled back but no official apology...I'll take this as you conceding you were in the wrong, though you will remain in the closet until you openly apologise to our members for your shameful behaviour.
Now comon! Outta dat closet swines!

Re: AFL ANZAC Day Clash
Dave's comments have never been violently offensive like swines. In fact I've heard gay folk use the same terms as dave.
