VFL memberships ... a sham

38k members, not all of them are fully ticketed though dick head. Like any other club we also offer 3 game memberships, not to mention country memberships where not all of them can show up. I reckon we'll get a crowd of somewhere between 25k-30k, hopefully the $ANFL posts the real figure and not a made up one like they did against GWS.

One thing's for sure though. The arse Raiders will be envious of our crowd.

You dumbarse, the undermined the crowd. Journos and the majority of AFL fans were questioning the small crowd figure posted by the $ANFL.

As you're uneducated on the issue (and every other issue in the world) the $ANFL would lose money if they fudged up the crowd. If Port Adelaide get a crowd of less than approximately 28,000, they have to write the $ANFL a cheque. So you can see that if the crowd was 30k, the $ANFL would get no cheque from Port, but they would if it was 25k they will get one. As the $ANFL own the stadium, they count the crowd and post the attendance. Against GWS they would have counted a crowd of about 28k-30k, but only posted it as 25k. Corruption at its finest.

Yes Smith looks like an idiot with the success of the wanderers and most league fans would agree with me on that, I play in a comp out here in the west of sydney, the older and junior comps are all but DEAD! and why? because nothing is being done to help grassroots by Smith and Co...meanwhile the wanderers have one of the biggest nurseries, had majority of their games "sold out", Man United coming to Sydney to play an A-League game at ANZ which is already sold out and wtf has Smith or NRL admin done about this....jackshit!

And Yes, the NRL does lack atmosphere compared to the AFL or soccer I guess you havent been to a game at Penrith or Campbelltown lately or a half or quarter filled ANZ stadium
