It'll be close

Lets see, so far the 7 NRL games this weekend have tallied about 104k. This is a total for the season of 690k.
Hmmm, can they get over 25k for their last game of the round on Monday night?

I'm not talking about single round. I'm talking about the first 2 rounds of the season. We've never had a higher total.piesman2011 wrote:Not quite we have a round 22 which had more. Next week won't be pretty, we got a game in tassy, a game in Canberra ad a game at metricon. Might get 32k average if we are lucky.

Yeah, heard that there was more like 30k. I can't believe there was 16k empty seats at the MCG yesterday. Where?Drac wrote:At the risk of sounding like a member of the throwball tin-foil-hat bragade, there were more than 25k at AAMI Stadium for the Port v GWS game. Dodgy SANFL up to their old tricks.
Was there and there was definitely more than 25k. Just have a read of the Big Footy Port board thread about the 25k crowd. Rucci wants the $ANFL to say how many tickets were sold, but they won't. I also believe there was more than 42k at the Crows v Essendon game a fortnight ago.Drac wrote:At the risk of sounding like a member of the throwball tin-foil-hat bragade, there were more than 25k at AAMI Stadium for the Port v GWS game. So the premiers who are again on top of the ladder are giving every second ticket away and still struggle to get more than 15k to games?Stewie wrote:Melbourne Storm have a buy one get one free deal for everyone tonight. It's pretty sad that the reigning premiers need to have something like this just to get people along to the game.
Just read on LU that every member had a free ticket! I thought it was just for non members buying a ticket just for that match, but every member as well? Wow, I knew they were struggling for support but that's pathetic.Xman wrote:So the premiers who are again on top of the ladder are giving every second ticket away and still struggle to get more than 15k to games?Stewie wrote:Melbourne Storm have a buy one get one free deal for everyone tonight. Tonight's a beutiful night too, no rain or wind, nice and mild. Where's the excuses?
