Meanwhile, the amount of blowouts in the nRL so far this season has been astounding. Just imagine going to a game and not seeing your team score!

50 - 0 tonight! Does it get much more one sided than that?

these dumb arses may fall for it
but we aren't going to
the VFL's careful manipulation of round 1 ... in carefully matching up sides of equal fumbling & bumbling ability
so as to appear as though things are close & even
Port shat me daks & the cumquats they played being perfect proof
a bumbling pack of ****'s ... beating up on an even bigger pack
but one can't do this all season
& just watch the 80 & 90 point hidings start to roll out with monotonous regularity in the coming weeks
we all know 2012 was the most uneven VFl comp ever ... ever
the VFL's attempts to manipulate this part of their comp .... like they do everything else , has fooled their dopey fans for a week
but it won't ... ney .. it can't last

Huge difference between our comp and your one is that after round 4 every team in the NRL has a win to there name, whats the chances the AFL will have every team with a win after round 4?Xman wrote:50 - 0 tonight! Does it get much more one sided than that?
Absolutely no chance.....

Sure did. Well done bullies!King-Eliagh wrote:Xman talking about the brissie lions here folksXman wrote:They won 7 of their last 12 games, including Adelaide and WC
Oh what a basket case! How you feelin after round one when a past basketcaser, the western bulldogs, made brissie look like they may not even cut it for the basketcase league this year
A number of teams have already improved on last year. The suns had a good win. The giants pushed the premiers. The power smashed the demons and looked very good. The lions have had a great preseason. The bullies look rejuvenated.
Told you this would resolve quickly

Re: Options for a lopsided comp
Pies it seems you dont understand the basketcase cup all that well. Where did i say your quote in your first sentence? The basketcase cup started in 2012 when the AFL hastily and foolishly rushed into expansion bringing gws in straight after the gc. It, along with the horribly unequal distribution of wealth **** AFL clubs, has caused a massive chasm between good teams and woeful teams. gws has no chance of significant improvement for a long time, asdoes the gc. But those basketcases who are at the top of their game, as in the english football leagues' lower divisions, can move up if they are lucky and obtain highly gifted players whom the wealthy clubs somehow dont identify.piesman2011 wrote:Your all over the place on this one KE first you told us that the basket cases were basket cases because they had no chance of improvement for a long time. Now your saying that the basket case sides can't really be identified until round 4. Your a better troll than that KE lift your game.King-Eliagh wrote:The basketcase league of 2013 may differ slightly than that of 2012. As was the case in 2012, the basketcase league can really only b identified after atleast 3 or 4 matches in...at least. In 2012 yours truly identified the league veeeerrrrrrry ealy on, which was quite astounding considering 6 teams were identified and, low and behold, those 6 teams turned out to be, yes its true, the duddest bottom 6 in the history of the AFL.![]()
We'll see how this season fairs up but seeing as your quite cocky there xman why not join us and chime in with your early picks for who's in he basketcase league of 2013?
So sit tight pies and join us in cheering for the teams vying for the basketcase cup. I'll nominate who i think belong in the cup soon, so far i have a 100% success rate so if you follow my lead you're a good chance of enjoying the basketcase cuop this season. But im not perfect all the time, just mostly, so if you wish to join me in identifying basketcasers over the next weeks please do pies, it'll be FUN!

Re: Options for a lopsided comp
A lopsided comp includes teams that are uncompetitive. A 50 - 0 loss is a one sided game of epic proportions.King-Eliagh wrote:Xman wrote:50 - 0 tonight! Re: Options for a lopsided comp
no, I admitted the bottom end of the ladder included 2 more bottom rung teams than normal, and for obvious reasons to all but fools like yourself. The middle to top of the ladder have never been closer.King-Eliagh wrote:Xman wrote:Well well well.

Atleast our Xman has admitted last year was lopsided to billio!
We said it would resolve on its own. Already the suns and giants have improved substantially, as have the power and bulldogs.

Re: Options for a lopsided comp
Alrighty folks. Here is KE's first thoughts for teams to make it in the 2013 AFL basketcase league.
GWS: A true original and perennial basketcaser here folks. A team of pimply faced pre pubescent kids put together with the big boys has always been destined to failure by the AFL. They may well be a team who will forever be a basketcaser until their ultimate demise when the AFL realises they made a shambles with the team and gives em the boot by blaming GWs's 15 years of woeful on field performances and poor crowds rather than their own poor administration and management of a competition and expansion.
Brissie Lions: After their heyday and glory in the early 2000's this poor club has gone straight to the shithouse. Apart from pre season comps where no teams bother trying, they dont look like they're able to do jack diddly squat. I'm unsure of their finances but have an inkling they suffer terribly from that horribly unequal distribution of welath in the AFL.
Melbourne Demons: The deep black hole of AFL heartland. This clubs going nowhere for a long time. Wreaked in controversy and cheating, this club, ironically named after and representing the city referred to as the original AFL Heartland or the "home" of the AFL, is synonymous with all that is wrong with this disastrous organisation called tha AFL... They're a hot chance to take out the basketcasers wooden spoon this year folks. A hot chance!
Gold Coast suns: Who couldnt throw this bunch of misfits in the basketcase league (the BL) even after an early round one win. They've got an ex RL star as their ambassador earning more than most in the team paid handsomely by the AFL to make mistake after mistake out their on the field
. They were consistently shite for all of season 2012 and unfortiunately the AFL positioned them in a region dominated by RL. They've got buckleys against AFL teams unless the sun is shining out their buttholes and the AFL team has a shocker. But they might scramble their way to the middle of the basketcase league by end of season 2013.
That's all for now folks. 4 teams. I'll finalise the basketcase league in the coming month or so. But please provide me with your thoughts for basketcasers this year and i'll take your suggestions into account.
Stay tuned ok. Also beaussie told me he's thinking of making a splinter tipping comp once we establish all the basketcasers for 2013. The prize is yet to be determined but I'd suggest Xmans mod badge would be a fair prize for the lucky winner.
Your sincerely,
KE
