Theyre simulcast you moron!

One takes viewers from the other! Of course you add them together for the total audience. You can't watch both at once.

As pies said, both AFL games shown nationally have achieved audiences over 1.15m, and thats despite Perth ratings dropping by half. =D>
King-Eliagh: ...I believe [RL] is popular in all the other states and territories, bar tasmania.

I could easily have Fox and FTA on in my house at the same time with that argument....

Sorry Xman the facts do not lie, NRL Number 1 on FTA and FOXTEL........need to take that silver and be a good sport.............

Ahhh what?

The ratings are one or the other, not how many channels are you watching at the same time!

Foxtel ratings are taken in 1 minute sections. If youre watching FTA youre not watching foxtel so youre not counted in the foxtel ratings.

Any other excuses because that ones a shocker!

Its like me saying the AFL win by only counting metro, which they do of course. You rightly claim that only includes 2/3rds of your audience. Well given the AFL is shown on both FTA and Fox simultaneously then FTA is only 75% of our total figure.

Surely you aren't suggesting the NRL can include all their audience but the AFL cant :-k

well of course we are eels

thats why we have won the ratings battles for the last 4 years & will by the looks of it , make it 5 in a row in 2013
we outrate the VFL on FTA because we have a significant regional population
we outrate the VFL on PTV because we have a significantly larger uptake of subscriptions

this is why media outlets & advertisers value RL .. much more highly in this country then the VFL
3 hours of a bumbleathon .. is worth less , then 2 hours of Rugby League
you can sell more if you're on longer
but astonishingly ... the game on for less time is worth more .... :-k

our game is the game for the future
the Victorian game
well its the game for yesterday
RL SOO II 4.194 Million veiwers
RL SOO I 4.068 Million
NRL GF 3.968 Million
VFL Grand Final 3.620 Million
SOO III 3.364 Million
NRL Prelim 2.219 Million
Kangaroos V NZ 1.214 Million

Sookerwhos V Japan 238K

pretty good number in Perth too considering the 4.30 kickoff

but yes
a minimum 1.1 Million

bigger then any Vicky Kicky game for this round ... WITH foxtel added

silver
its now a way of life for them
Been two AFL games already that have gone past 1.1 million out of 3 games. Do you ever get sick of being wrong.
Pies no AFL game yet has got past 1m on FTA this year..... :-k

Now when you add the simulcasting then yes but FTA alone and you boys are way of the NRL benchmark on FTA and FOX.
2 points eels
1. only 1 AFL game for the entire year is only on FTA and i dont see your point its not like you can watch both foxtel and FTA at the same time in both cases they are viewers and national viewers at that.
2. Dave said with fox included.

Iv'e changed it but to 1116.

The Metro figure is 552 . the 682 figure is metro + 7 mate.

Metro 552, 1/3 = 182 regionals, 130 7mate, 252 Fox.
