I was at the Easter Show yesterday before the game. All that was being handed out was a pamphlet about the game. No free tickets in sight. BTW, was talking to some mates last night at the game who said they also went to Bulldogs vs Souths after getting free tickets at the Easter Show on Good Friday. Apparently NRL staff were handing out thousands of free tickets all day at the show.
You just make rubbish like that up as you go.Raiderdave wrote:& this was the case to both games last year as well when they were played.
free tickets for school children ... & the family & fiends of Skoda employees , & in the end it was anyone with a pulse![]()

& yet yesterday they still couldn't get to HALF of the 52K turnout for the NRL![]()

Why wasn't it full / sold out if as you say it is so small in capacity. Don't NRL fans care about this local derby anymore? Surely it should have been a sellout yeah?Raiderdave wrote:& as for the sthn derby last night
a ground ova 60K capacity smaller then ANZ .... was 95% full with ova 20K fans![]()
Fact remains of the two local derbies in Sydney last night, the AFL had a bigger crowd than the NRL.
