Re: AFL vs NRL (Memberships in 2013)
I think thats a bit to simpe:
at least do the attenedances over the last few years.
On top of that probabaly the titans get more viewers in goldcoast homes, so does that count as well?

needless to say
another average year on field for the Thuns ( expected )

Wow the titans have really dropped off and their drop off would be a lot more satistically significant as well with a lot more data. At least with the Suns you could claim that it was a bad year due to low expectations and hopefully theres some improvement. The titans have been on a downward trend for a while now.

True rugby doesn't dominate any state, but it does dominate the ACT. It is also more popular than league in plenty of states as well.Raiderdave wrote:Rugby doesn't dominate any state you f witadamj1300 wrote:yes it is considering the titans played there first season in 2007 and the suns in 2011.morley101 wrote:

The titans have been on a downward trend for a while now.
& even success didn't halt this (2010 .. one game away from the Grand Final )
& the Thuns will experience the same even with a bit of success which is probably not likely to occur anytime soon
the only difference will be
the Titans went backwards in yr 2 from 22K a game
the Thuns will also .. from 13K
if the Thuns do have a poor year on the field ( again expected) .... they will be lucky to keep their crowds above 10K
I think the Titans will be in contention for finals for most of 2013 ( game of the round against Manly tomorrow night at Skilled)
... & will keep their average around the 15K mark.
another clear .. hiding for the Victorian game

Re: AFL vs NRL (Memberships in 2013)
is there a parrot in the room ?True rugby doesn't dominate any state

crowds wise , the bumbles are first , we're last .... if both sides were on the same footing we'd smash embut it does dominate the ACT
& the Raiders are watched by 5 territorians on pay TV to every 1 that watches the bumbles
I live here , you don't
the Raiders are the ACT's favourite football team , & probably the Dragons are 2nd
end of
plenty eh ?It is also more popular than league in plenty of states as well.
NSW .. no
QLD ...no
VIC... no
SA .... who cares , theres no sides in either code there for any fair comparison
WA .. they have a yawnion side that averaged 11K last year .. the NRL's average in Perth in 2012 was 18,500
TAS ... see SA
yes

Re: AFL vs NRL (Memberships in 2013)
Crowds wise and participation wise union wins in the ACT, SA and WA. Ratings are next to impossible to find for the ACT alone, but union ratings for the Wallabies trounce what the Kangawhos get in Adelaide and Perth. Melbourne's union WC ratings also smash what the Kangawhos got.Raiderdave wrote:is there a parrot in the room ?True rugby doesn't dominate any state![]()

The last time WA had a permanent nRL team in Perth its average crowd was way below what their union side is getting now.

what crowds you moronic half wit

WA .... the NRL wipes the floor crowd wise as Ive proven
ACT .... the Bumbles only averaged 14K despite being on top of the S15 ladder in Oz all year in 2012
the Raiders would easily beat that if they were on top of the NRL ladder
250K on average for a Raiders game on pay TV nationally
about 80K for a bumbles game ... also nationally
its just common sense to work out that about 15% of both audiences are from the capital
do Wobblies ratings outrate origin in SA & WA ?

Re: AFL vs NRL (Memberships in 2013)
The international rugby 7's when they were here got much bigger crowds than any of those pathetic nRL games got. And the Wallabies were getting about 18k on a 3 hour delay here and about the same with Perth during the bled cup last year, bigger than Kangawhos ratings.Raiderdave wrote:SA ... crowd wise ?Stewie wrote:Crowds wise and participation wise union wins in the ACT, SA and WA. When WA had a permanent nRL team their crowds were below 10,000. WA now has a permanent union team and its ratings are above 10,000.
Union crowds smash nRL in ACT, glad we both agree on that.

You're using a national figure for your pay tv ratings for Raiders and Brumbies games.
